Trout already has 5.7 WAR. That puts him on pace to set the record, which is currently held by Ruth at 14.1

And six games out of the playoffs. Hopefully that on-paper mediocre Seattle team comes down to earth a bit and Trout has a chance at a playoff run. Baseball is better when its best players are in the playoff chase and this is pretty easily the Angel’s best team in 4 or 5 years even without Ohtani.

The Astros are still in the AL West.

Is Freddy Freeman Joey Votto, only younger? And not as annoying?

Freeman has a bit more power, but yeah, that's a good shorthand description.

I wouldn't compare Freddy Freeman to Joey Votto just yet. Remember when posters here started calling KB "The RHH Joey Votto" lol. Hyperbolic much...

holy crap Juan Soto is good. he's had enough time that some sort of book on him should be forming, and yet he keeps producing. There's so many young, talent offensive guys in the minors, but honestly, i think it's Juan or Vlad Jr. at the top of the list when focusing just on offense, and that's including a bunch of guys I like, from Eloy to Gleyber to Acuna to Robles and so forth.

Insane that just last year he was an 18 year old in rookie ball. They promoted him in hyperspeed. And fg only has him as a 50 FV... lol, probably gonna need to reevaluate that.

Steamer projections for the dude are otherworldly for a guy with a little more than 300 PA beyond rookie ball.
