Manfred's statement about Jackie Robinson day this year did not include "black", "color barrier", or other standard language found in past statements

Because Trump, obviously

Jacob Wilson is putting up an .838 OPS at the moment across 68 PAs. He has yet to take a single walk and only struck out 3 times. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.

The closest I can think in recently memory is Willians Astudillo with 11 walks and 28 strikeouts in 588 career PA's. His career ended with the same amount of extra base hits as walks and strikeouts combined.

Soderstrom has a 2 Homer night giving him 8 on the year. When Rooker gets going that offense is gonna be pretty damn nasty. And Kurtz is coming soon.

Pretty sure the park is going to help them too. But, yes, they have some bats.

Conversely Dylan Crews has taken 56 PA and he has 7 singles, 3 walks, no XBH, no RBI. On pace for -6 fwar lol

A lot of people love watching PCA run, myself included, but I, also love watching Pete Alonso run for different reasons. I can not stop watching Alonso run during his triple against the Cardinals.

Really enjoyed watching the Dodgers "infallible" bullpen cough one up last night.  Raise you hand if you love seeing bad things happen to the Dodgers.

So the Rockies have reached a level of putrid that even the White Sox are in awe of. They're now 4-23(.148). That means they're on pace to go 24-138. This would be the most losses in baseball history and the 2nd lowest winning percentage in baseball history. For comparison, last year's historically awful White Sox team went 41-121(.253).

Because I was curious, I looked up the 2024 WS and they were 3-22 before winning 3 straight against the Rays. So they were actually a game better than the Rockies after 27 games. The WS were 10 runs worse in RD however.

does not compute... this didnt happen against the Cubs

If there ever was a thing as a streaky hitter, he is it. Reminds me of how Soriano would go unconscious for a few weeks and then strike out three times a game for half a month.

Update!

The Rockies are now 4-25. The 2024 White Sox were 6-23 and were actually 14-30 at one point (they didn't have their 12, 14 and 21 game losing streaks until after this). After playing Atlanta tomorrow, Colorado's upcoming series are SF, Det, SD, Tex, Ari, Phi, NYY, ChC, NYM, Mia, NYM, SF. Only Miami is under .500 (though Arizona is 1 over, Tex is 2 over and Phi 3 over). They've got the same RD of -78 after 29 games as the WS last year. It's likely going to be a rough next 6 weeks for Colorado.
