Yup, this is where the Big 12 canabilizes itself so that no one makes the playoffs, while a 2 loss Michigan team wins the Big Ten and claims the 4th spot

Absolute chaos would have to reign, but UM could still get in. I think Michigan will win out (and hopefully open up a playoff spot for ND in the process) so that MSU loss might end up stinging even more.

If Kentucky can upset Vandy, they'll get to 6 wins more than likely and get to a bad bowl game.

This year is a repeat of last year.

Would love IU to beat Maryland and Purdue and face UK in the Music City Bowl.

Ohio State has played 10 mediocre to bad teams and has pulled this half-ass garbage in like 8 of those games. That's what life is like when you give yourself a 3 game season.

If they weren't defending champs and were judged solely on the merit of this season, they'd be around 9 or 10 in the rankings

The committee uses more of an eye test than pure numbers. OSU hasn't looked particularly good beating just about anyone this year

Winning by 18 at end of 3rd, on the road, Illinois has a solid defense, lost a td on first drive, huge games in next two weeks. What are you guys talking about? If they don't win by 60 they suck?

That's just not true. And exactly where the "eye test" fails.

When people say eye test they infer ignorance about what actually happens.

Besides, you just said based on merit only they'd be 9th or 10th. Computers they're more like 5th, and to the committee they're 3rd. And to AP voters, they'd been first. So what merit do you base your ignorance on this time?

It was 7-3 when I posted that and it was late 2nd quarter. I knew OSU was going to pull away because Illinois sucks, but it gets annoying seeing them just able to sleepwalk through half the game against everyone they play.

Illinois does not suck.

They're 5-5 and haven't played anyone good in the East except Ohio State. They suck.

Okay, even if they suck by your ultra strict definition, OSU won by 25 and should have been 32 since they scored a td on their first drive that didn't count. At no time was that game in any doubt. Even when it was 7-3 in the 2nd.

I'm pretty sure that not one opposing fan base has enjoyed watching their team play Indiana this year. Even the Penn State game they were within a score until less than a minute left in the 3rd quarter.
