Shark 3.0 IP 3K, 0BB, 0 HR, 4 ER, 5/0 GO/FO. A lot better peripherally than the last start but with worse results. I can't imagine that defense is doing him any favors.

speaking of bad defense, this has been a fun inning for the Red Sox offense

1-2-3 inning for Matt Tracy in his MLB debut, but Teixeira came off the bag early extending the inning after a challenge, then the bases were then loaded and Garrett Jones closed his glove too early on a playable fly ball, clearing the bases

"the Yankees defense has been simply atrocious", cries Michael Kay

Brandon McCarthy hit the nail on the head when he tweeted the Kruk is delightfully dumb schtick is turning Sunday Night baseball into a King of Queens episode.

I'm watching the Brewers-Cardinals game, every Cardinal that comes to the plate, it seems, that the announcers say he lost 15-30 lbs. this offseason

Darwin Barney and his lifetime .294 OBP is leading off for the Dodgers tonight. Don Mattingly is not a smart man.

They'll be back at normal weights once they resume drinking 8-10 beers each in the clubhouse after the game for a few months.

Carlos Carrasco got hit in the face on a liner by Melky Cabrera. Ball took a small deflection off his glove but caught him right in the cheek.

He was able to stand up at least to get on a cart to take him off the field.

Carlos Carrasco has shown no symptoms of a concussion or head injury at this point.

Carrasco is being treated for a jaw contusion and that's it, which qualifies as fantastic news. The pitcher had to leave Tuesday's start against the White Sox after being hit by a combacker that glanced off his glove and then connected with the left side of his face. It's way too soon to know whether Carrasco has a chance to make his next start, but it sounds like he's going to be fine.

Pretty crazy

Have the Angels 10 Rangers 1 game on in the background while I work. Every time I look at the screen the Rangers broadcast is showing people in the stands going crazy in front of the camera. I guess you just have to see what I mean, but it is so weird.
