Ouch. Orange Bowl tickets are averaging 5 dollars. Combining Mississippi State who doesn't travel well at all and Georgia Tech who has a fanbase of dorks who don't care about sports for the most part and you have a disaster.

I did a mock BCS bowl selection exercise under the old system and assumed Mississippi St. would get the nod over TCU based on travel. Maybe not so much.

TCU is full of rich white kids and loaded alumni. They traveled well to the Rose Bowl a couple of years ago.

Ole Miss is similar. Peach Bowl will be packed.

OMC, looks like you might need to find a new QB for next year....

Chad Kelly, 20, of Niagara Falls, refused to leave Encore at 492 Pearl St. about 3:15 a.m. and punched a bouncer in the face, Buffalo police said. Kelly’s companion, Brandon Hickey, 21, of Clarence, had been thrown out of the bar earlier and tried to re-enter, police said.

Kelly continued to fight with two bouncers and stated “I’m going to go to my car and get my AK-47 and spray this place,” according to a report.

Buffalo police officers responding to that alleged threat stopped a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck in which Kelly was a passenger at 458 Pearl. Kelly was forcibly removed from the vehicle, officers said. Police said Kelly kicked and tried to swing at officers as they removed him from the vehicle. They said he resisted getting into a patrol vehicle and struggled with staff at central booking.

Kelly faces multiple charges including third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing, resisting arrest, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Kelly was arraigned later in Buffalo City Court and released without bail to await further court proceedings.

The "going to get my AK" line could be the funniest thing I've heard in a while.

Totally embarrassing. I've been against us getting him when his name was first mentioned a few months ago as being a possible transfer to the Rebels. Everything I've ever read about him is that he is a petulant, entitled, anger filled, rich kid wannabe gangsta.

The "Machine Gun Kelly" memes are flowing.

However, it is getting put out there that in fact Kelly never said anything about an AK and that was something that the bouncer just said to get the cops to get to the bar faster. There is a video out there of the fight and Kelly seems a bit calm and is in fact pushed by a bouncer which starts the altercation. I still want him off the team, but the incident might not be as bad as first reported since he was never placed in a cell and was not even given a bail. The cops just let him go once he got to the station. So who knows...

So in Bowl Games That Don't Mean Anything News, Western Kentucky had a 49-14 lead over Central Michigan in the 4th quarter before giving up 5 straight touchdowns. The last was scored after time expired on a play that included a successful Hail Mary, several laterals, and a dive over the pylon. They then went for 2 to win and failed.

Craziest [expletive] Ive ever seen. Seen Hail Marys. Seen crazy lateral plays. But both on the same play is a new one. Not just the play. The comeback was ridiculous.

It's weird, Illinois feels in complete control of this game, yet they're losing 21-9 because of a bad throw and the worst kicking game I've ever seen.

21-15

Because when you get a chance to pull a game within 4 points midway through the 3rd quarter, you just gotta go for 2.

In fairness to Illinois' coaches, if I saw the kicking game I saw in the first half, I'd go for 2 every time also.

Ugh, Illinois had LT stopped on 3rd down at midfield, but the QB fumbled and Illinois D picked it up and brought it back, only to fumble it back to LT. Change of possession gives LT a fresh set of downs, and the next play is a 70 yard pass to the 3.

Punting with 5 minutes left in a 10 point game, and the punt goes about 30 yards...that should just about do it.
