He just had maybe his best performance in 3 years. I'm not gonna get upset that acknowledged he doesn't want to be in a wheel chair. That he was too stupid to say "I want to die out there" and be loved for it. I think he's done pandering and I'm perfectly fine with that.

 

I actually think it's possible he meant to assuage peoples fears ad that he was saying he's healthy despite missing games. I'd like to see him play 60 games this year that would be fine for me. As far as what he says to the media or what nick fridell says he says I don't care.

Oh man, The Score callers are hilarious this morning. One old guy said he wouldn't watch the Bulls while Rose was still on the team. Another guy was trying to figure out how to trade him.

I really don't care how much he plays in the regular season as long as it's enough to win enough games to get a decent playoff seed and gel with the rest of the team. I'd rather have him fresh and healthy for the playoffs where I would be utterly shocked if he wasn't flying around at top speed and playing big minutes in every game.

Nevertheless. If he said this during the wizards series last summer if probably get pissed. I'm too encouraged with his recent play to care about the media stuff.

 

I think the bottom line is that either (i) he has zero pr awareness (ii) he has a very hard time communicating or (iii) he doesn't care what anybody thinks.

 

It's probably (i) and (ii). It's not like he's not rehabbing or he's not coming in shape. He is doing everything you want an injured star to do.

It's really not surprising that Rose doesn't articulate his thoughts that well. His comments are non issue unless you just want to laugh at a dumb athlete, which is always fun.

It's 8 games into the season. Who cares if Derrick plays everyone of them? He played a lot of basketball over the summer and I'd actually prefer he sit some games out. They have enough, along with Thibs, to get a top seed even if Derrick only plays 50-60 games. As long as he plays enough to get in rhythm with his teammates come playoff time, I fully support sitting some games out. Especially when playing 4 in 5 nights after he just rolled both his ankles.
