I already expected a pretty slow start to the season while the new pieces gel and Rose hopefully knocks off the rust. Not having Butler for awhile will just firm that up.

Really weird how that Butler news came out because Butler told CSN that he hoped to play Friday like 10 minutes before.

I think after the first couple of games, we have a pretty soft schedule to start the year. Definitely can hold the fort down until Butler comes back. I'm just disappointed because I really want Butler and Rose to get comfortable playing with each other. The last time Rose was really playing (minus the 10 games last year) Butler was a rookie who barely played.

I was thrown back last night when the announcers for the Magic/Pelicans game said Eric Gordon was in his 7th year. Which obviously was 3 bad years for IU and 2 good years and then last year, but still to think of it as 7 years was weird to me.

I've seen Pau bang more in the post tonight than I saw Boozer do in the last two seasons. The cool thing is when he faces up he can still take it to the hoop.
