That's why you pay the man $6 mil!

Jesus Christ that was the most heart stopping finish of the entire Q era. I have no idea how they didn't score.

Looking forward to lifting the Cup on Monday at the UC

We didn't play a good game at all and we won it. If we play a good game in Tampa on Saturday I think we close this out on Monday

I don't think I've ever experienced shock like this after a win in sports. Like, I still can't believe they didn't score there.

Anybody else see Hedman celebrate a non-goal in that last stretch?

No but I'd love to.

I'll be honest I blacked out at the end. When I came to the Hawks were holding their sticks up at center ice.

Son of bitch. Invited friends (non-hockey fans) over for dinner Saturday night and have concert tickets on Monday. Marital harmony is at risk here.

Trust me. I'm in the same boat. I don't have plans but when you neglect your family every other night for 2 months (or every night for awhile when the Bulls were still going) it causes a lot of strain.

Too bad I don't have summer sports break like usual since the Cubs are showing promise.

Yeah I can swing Saturday, will be at our house and can casually have it on. Monday, man I don't know. If they win Saturday I may have to bail on that concert I'm already third wheel with her and her friend.

Tampa executed their game plan about as well as they could expect and they still lost. The Hawks could have easily put 5 on them last night. I really wanted Timmonen's shot to go in. Duncan Keith said the Hawks had another level to reach. Have we already seen the best that Tampa has?

Corey Crawford is doomed to be the Rodney Dangerfield of goalies: No respect. Crawford is going to give up one goal at least per game. Once you accept that as a fan it makes it easier to appreciate what he does the rest of the time. He's like Boromir defending that bridge except the part where he dies.

Yep...it was the one that deflected off Seabrooks stick and somehow, incredibly, missed the net. Rewound when I saw someone mention it on twitter.

Anyone else think that it went in at the end? The way Corey reacted, and then for a second forgetting we were at home, so the spotlight and horn confused me, and jesus I was high strung. My wife and I both sat there for a second, staring at the screen till we realized it was safe to celebrate.

So the narrative in the Lightning locker room seems to be "we should have won that one" which I think is fair. I actually think it was their best played game of the series and the first game I felt there was a clear better team. That's how it breaks though. The Lightning won't be scared of us in any environment and any situation so we need to step up and play 2 great games to hoist the cup.

What are you talking about? If the Hawks could have put 5 on them, then Tampa could have put 10 on us. The Hawks have played better for like 3 or 4 of the 12 periods. They're fortunate to be tied. Now, has Tampa played as well as possible? Probably. Do the Hawks have another gear? Possibly. I like our chances, but the Hawks are very lucky this series is 2-2.
