I was going to post something about how the Cubs' overall crappiness cost DLee that MVP more so than Dusty's lineup construction, but then I went to the MVP voting standings from that year and Morgan [expletive] Ensberg finished 4th behind Lee. Holy crap.

Thinking more about the Theriot hate, I think one of the big things is that he was SO douchey, yet it did not translate to talent at all like it should have. So many great players are complete pricks, and Theriot certainly was at an all star-level in terms of how unlikable he was, yet somehow he just completely sucked, which made him even MORE unlikable.
