What happened to Olt? Didn't he start off hot? How much he mus have fallen off to drop his average that low.

When he hits the ball, he tends to hit it really hard. Contact is the problem. Combination of being too passive early in the count and too aggressive deep in the count, and bad pitch recognition (IMO). It doesn't look promising.

That's not even true. He has an anemic LD%. If you got bonus points for far HRs he might have value as a 25th guy

Yeah, I was trying to be positive, I guess. He's a guy who is lost at the plate but occasionally runs into one with his huge raw power.

This isn't just a rebound, this is the guy we were hoping he'd turn into even when he was good.

Offensively, I should say. The defense has been shaky at times.

.827 OPS now.

This offseason we can trade him for way better pitchers than we could have last offseason. Well played, Theo.

Pirates announcers are saying Morton is getting squeezed. How does it look to you ?

Like it's 5-0 and the Pirates can suck it.

There were some close pitches in the walk leading to Rizzo's HRs, but they were legit balls by pitchtrax

If Rizzo and Castro had done this last year, I bet our offseason would have been much different.

We could have traded them both for prospects.

Oh come on. At least it makes things heading into this offseason.

I'm intrigued by 2015, but I don't think things are going to be that different in this coming offseason. I think our relative inactivity last year was more due to "most free agents aren't worth it" than "we're too awful to bother."
