Andreoli is 5 for his last 67 and he's an all-star. I am the guy's biggest fan, but he is in the midst of an epic free fall.

Isn't the MWL all star game at Kane County?

Grand Rapids. It rotates year to year.

Hence it was a bigger deal when the Whitecaps stadium burned half down this winter, during our too cold to fight fires phase.

Schwarber with a HR. That's 3 in 20 PA, and he's now 10 for 17. Bryant got 18 games in Boise, wonder if Schwarber makes it that long since he's unlikely to skip Kane County.

looks like jeffery baez homered too

@IDS_Phibbs Jeffrey Baez and Kyle Schwarber both crush homers in the first. Both players are close to promotions you'd think. #Cubs

Baez also homered in the first, bringing his line to .333/.500/.733 with 4/3 BB/K

Given that he didn't have near the layoff Bryant did after his college season, I'm guessing he doesn't stay for 18 games. Also, is he unlikely to skip Kane County? He's not as good as Bryant, clearly, but if the FO actually had him #2 on their board, they have to think really highly of him. Mcleod also seemed to think he'll be a quick mover.

There are some that think they might favor KC rather than skipping to Daytona because the FO apparently values playoff experience (plus he'd get extra games, I guess)

I'd be shocked if Schwarber is still in the NWL a week from now.

Zero. College guy in short-season lg. RT @jwildcat1908: On a scale of 1-10 how excited should we be about Schwarber's start in A (Boise)?

Marra hit his second HR. Wasn't he an overslot a couple years ago?

Slightly. He got $110k as a 15th rounder in 2011.

Double for Schwarber

lol, this is ridiculous.

Sounds like it was only a bloop double that fell between 3 fielders.

Dont' think so. That was the Maples/Dunston draft, so maybe he got $100K or something, but I don't recall him being anything noteworthy.

Low-minors baseball is so funny. Boise is winning 6-1, but the other team has already gotten three base runners thrown out stealing.

I would like Schwarber to get sent to KC so that he can play everyday. You guys remember what happens in Daytona in June and July right

Send him to Tennessee and him and Bryant can be the AA version of the Bash Brothers
