How about you start by explaining why Kevin Orie is your avatar?

I thought it might be a front office employee. Thank you for clearing that one up

I may have missed some sort of sarcasm here (?) but I thought that avatar picture was indeed of Kyle himself?

Edit: I just googled Kevin Orie and OK that is him. Odd.

If that were Kyle, he wouldn't be posting pathetic dating stories like that. No woman can resist Orie.

If nothing else I give him props for honesty...if the Cubs go on a run with him at the helm we may have to imply a rule of telling your most pathetic life story as the game thread starter.

If Bryant sticks at 3B and Baez moves to 2B, you think they'll try Valbuena in the OF? I'm really starting to love that guy.

Also, anyone know if Alcantara might be able to handle CF?

I don't think Valbuena is a very good fit in the OF, but in that scenario he could find a bunch of at bats filling in for all 3 RH infielders plus pinch hitting.

I've heard off hand mentions that Alcantara could move to CF in order to find MLB playing time, but I have to figure the more likely outcome is that he gets traded.

What's the deal with Bryant's 8 errors this season? Throwing...fielding?

On defense, Bryant played a stronger third base than his fielding percentage would indicate. His plus throwing arm plays anywhere on the diamond. Strong and accurate, Bryant never rushed his throws and delivered strikes to the first baseman on every chance. He displays body control at third, reacting quickly to balls to either side. He also charges balls well.

On a Darnell Sweeney drag bunt attempt, Bryant fielded the ball with one hand and unleashed a bullet to retire the speedy infielder. He made exceptional plays on balls to either side, showcasing strong reflexes and quick feet. Bryant’s Achilles heel on defense is stiffness on routine plays. Being uncomfortable, he forced errors on balls most handle easily. During infield pregame, Bryant fielded much of these chances left of center. Hopefully, proper technique in repetition will carry into game action.

Hah! Gordon Beckham...I forgot he even existed.

Pretty sure he hits .900 against the Cubs and .100 against everyone else.

Barney has a .063/.318/.063 line against LHP this year. That's amazing.

I'm not sure that Kelly Crull is wearing enough makeup...

Yeah, she routinely looks like a train wreck.
