This Tanaka guy is pretty good. We were valued at $1.2 billion last year and made $266 million in revenue. We should probably make a splash and sign him.

A lot of pitchers have looked good against the Cubs.

Well Hammel was good again. He really wants to get out of here by July.

I'm already excited for the two B-level prospects we'll get for him.

Tanaka gives up 1 in 8 innings and strikes out 13 and Kyle has another meltdown

We're getting close. Doubt he gives up a run though.

I mean, he's a good young pitcher in a barren FA pitching market who would have only cost them money and none of their precious, precious prospects. You totally don't have to go all out for a guy like that.

Ricketts is just waiting for that rooftop situation to settle and pretend he has no money to spend. Outside of the fact that the Cubs were the 4th most profitable team in baseball last year.

He wasn't coming to Chicago. You all know it.

It's true; few realize the honor of spending time in the middle of a multi-season rebuild. They are fools, I say...FOOLS. The character they won't build...you can't replace that with money and victories.

He'll get the former but not much of the latter.

STRONGLY disagree. The Yankees are never going to wallow in bad baseball for long.

They're going to wallow in mediocre baseball for very long.
