B1G issues "public reprimand" for the Buckeye brawlers, no suspension.

lmao, I'm sure they learned their lesson and any other potential instigators will be deterred from doing stuff during games due to fear of being scolded publicly.

I wonder if things would be different if OSU wasn't in the hunt for a berth in the championship game

Looks like ND's offensive coordinator, Chuck Martin, is going to be Miami(OH)'s next coach. He's got a lot of work to do. The talent level has been horrible since Terry Hoeppner went to Indiana.

Would love to see ND back up the Brinks truck to get Jeff Quinn, the current Buffalo HC and Kelly's OC at CMU and Cincinnati, but that's not likely. Failing that, getting a good OC is going to be very important this off-season.

Why in the world would you want to pay a ton for an OC when (1) he's an OL coach and we have a stud OL coach, and (2) Kelly is going to run his offense and call his plays, etc, etc.

They're probably going to promote Denbrock or Alford and then go hire a position coach. Hopefully one who actually knows special teams and can teach players to tackle a kick returner.

Or go hire Borges if Hoke would only let him go.

If Illinois fired Beckman would they give Lane Kiffin a look? At the very least he'd recruit as well or better than anybody in the history of the program, and he'd also probably put out one of the best offenses in the Big 10. He'd be a huge upgrade.

Dude. Really? You don't want that [expletive] show.

At best he would be moderately successful for a season, piss everyone off then leave for a better job in the middle of the night.

U of I is a steaming pile of garbage program and if you could get somebody who at least at one point in time was considered the top coaching prospect in the country; i think you do it.

He was as a bigger failure at Ole Miss than Kiffen at USC. And the only reason that anybody is bringing his name up now is the order in which they went 6-2 with him as interim.

Its pretty well documented the situations that Kiffen walked into at Oakland and SC. Im not saying hes a great coach, im saying he is a great hire for Illinois. If you would have told Kiffen hed be in Champaign five years ago hed have cut himself. Now hed take the job.

I'm bringing his name up b/c I think he's a buffoon and I want to see him tank another program.

How exactly does one tank Illinois's program?

Tim Beckman...achieving the improbable.

According to multiple sources, Mora will remain at UCLA. Sounds like Washington's overtures helped get a football-only on campus facility funded, which is great news.
