I'd be hesitant to pick the Bears, also. But, shockingly enough, the favorite doesn't always win.

 

right...it just seems like a lot of things are going against us in this one.

Bears brought in Ratliff for a look. Probowl level DT for Cowboys in 3-4. Probably best body we could get at this point. If healthy, best interior player they'd have.

I can see taking the points....but not picking the Bears to win the game. Too many key injuries, too many disadvantages.

that's a pretty brutal redraft

 

Who redoes a draft 1/2 season later?

 

"Redoing" a draft is a pointless endeavor, but if it's going to be done, there's nothing wrong with doing it after half a season. Every NFL GM would love the opportunity to get a full NFL training camp plus 8 games to get a further impression on the players they like.

ESPN said he would be ready to play in 2-4 weeks. Or just in time for their season to be over.

 

Worth a look to see if he's an option for next year. Melton and Collins are FAs. And Tupou, Minter and Cohen have no future despite being much younger.

Rick Gosselin from the Dallas Morning News is on the radio this morning and is saying how the biggest reason for the Bears defensive struggles is the loss of Rod Marinelli, talking about how Dallas is signing d-linemen off the street and they're getting sacks. That Marinelli is great with teach hand placement, and motivating guys...

Bears finished 8th in the NFL in sacks last year with 41, this year they are dead last with 9 (on pace for 21)

 

5 of those sacks are from linebackers. 5 of those sacks are from players who are out for tonight's game.
