Call me crazy. ....but I think the Bears could surprise tonight. This means nothing, but Rodgers is like 3-7 on MNF.... including his only 2 losses to the Bears. The Packers have dominated in the Cutler era due to a terrible Bears OL. Theyve hurt yhe Bears offensively in the middle of the field with Jennings, Driver, Cobb, and Finley....none of whom will be suiting up. They've consistently had success on Jordy Nelson, though if Jones plays. ...he's done damage here and there., but not to the extent of those other guys.

If the Bears are going to have a chance though its going to have to look like the MNF win a few years ago. Going to have to get a couple short fields via special teams and fumbles forced (don't expect Rodgers to throw picks). Stop Lacy and they gotta win matchups in man coverage vs the inexperienced GB WRs. Hoping extra practices and some fresh blood in there at LB will help this defense at least get back to being a non-disaster.

Offensively, protect McCown. Move the pocket. Get him some easy throws. The Pack was able to take Marshall out last year with bracket coverage, but Jeffery wasn't the player he is now and TE was not a factor. Jeffrey would have made them pay last year if not for some iffy OPI calls/ non PI calls.

Also need to keep it close early. The Packers have had at least a 2 score lead in every game but 1 under Rodgees before the Bears have even reached the endzone....IF they've even reached it.

Prediction: Bears 23- Packers 21.

Sorry for no blog updates. ...been having problems with the site.

I've had that thought about a dozen times this past week and just as I'm about to show my work I call myself crazy and stop. Tampa almost beat Seattle on the road. Anybody can beat anybody in this league. The Packers are not the best team out there and the Bear are not the worst, so there is a greater than zero chance of them winning. I just don't think they will.

Yeah - I don't necessarily see the Bears winning but I definitely think it'll be a lot closer than some of the predictions I've seen. The offensive line is better and the offense has more weapons than in years past plus Green Bay has some notable injuries too. That said, McCown isn't going to be as good as he was against Washington.

It's been really windy all day by me today around the Milwaukee area. No idea if it's like that up in Green Bay or if it's supposed to last into the night, but if it's windier I guess that at least will help to slow down Rodgers a little bit.

OK, you are crazy :)

Seriously though, I'm dying for a big upset to happen, and after watching the Jets beat the Saints and Tampa taking the Seahawks to OT in Seattle ---anything is possible.

I'll predict that the Bears jump out to an early lead, only to watch that annoying team in baby poop green and puke yellow to take control in the second half.

31-27 Cheese Noggins.

And that makes me sad.

The only way the Packers lose this game is if it's like that game early in the 2010 season where they gave the Bears almost 200 free yards in penalties and then still only lost on a last second FG.

Supposedly (hearing this second hand. Don't have game on yet) barring no setbacks Jay will practice Wednesday and in line to start Sunday. Did anyone else catch that?

Exactly what he said. Expects to start on Sunday.
