Excited to see bulls gsw tonight. Really like golden states team. Off a back to back will be a very tough win and would say a lot about where the team is right now. A win tonight will make me feel better after the bad loss Sunday. Plus I took the Noah over 27.5 pts and boards and Booz over 15.5 pts player props.

Well your prop bets are not looking good right now but at least the Bulls are winning by almost 30

Ill conceived prop bets aside great game. I'm not sure how much was GSW being flat as hell as their coach an idiot or the bulls playing well. Either was two wins in a back to back with scoring on both nights is pretty nice. Hinrich and taj were great and boozer and Noah played really well also. Stephen curry was absolutely zipped up. Is he hurt or something. I don't think I've ever seen a player of his calibre be that much of a non factor.

GarPax should be hanged if they let Thibs leave

Thibs has to be if not the best coach one of the best coaches in any sport.

Thompson, curry, bogut, lee, speights, Crawford, iguodala. That lineup has so much more talent than this bulls team it's not even close. Thibs would win 60 games in the west with that team. Instead they have Marc Jackson's clueless clownass.

I love watching this team. I absolutely want to somehow get the pacers in round 2. That would be a fun series and I absolutely think the bulls could hang.

I'm really starting to believe that Thibs may very well be the best coach in NBA history. It is ridiculous what he's done with this mess of a roster.

Winning that playoff series last year was absolutely nuts. We won a road game 7 with a lineup of Nate, Jimmy, Pasta, Boozer and Noah; and Gibson and Teague being the only reserves. Nets had Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Gerald Wallace, Brook Lopez, Reggie Evans, CJ Watson, Blache and kris Humphries. We played most of the series without Deng, Hinrich and Rip who would be 3 starters.

Then that same lineup won game 1 at a full-strength Heat. Then got Joey Crawforded in game 3 and very nearly won game 5.

Phil Jackson wins 30 games with that roster.

It's simultaneously ridiculously impressive by Thibs and a little depressing that we came just about as close to beating the Heat in a playoff series with last year's ragtag bunch as we did with the fully healthy Rose/Noah/Boozer/Gibson/etc group in 2011.

The Heat series in 2011 was kinda close. We should have won the OT game and then straight up blew game 5. If Rose had played even mediocre we win both games.

Looking at jimmer's game log he has gotten VERY inconsistant minutes. He must never have been in the plans but when he plays he seems to play ok offensively. He had a big game at the Garden last he played. We could use some scoring.

Go get it done Gar!

Why add players? This team is just going to get squashed like an insect come playoff time.

Because (i) it wont and (ii) whatever scrap they add for 13th man could be retained on a min to back up rose and kirk after they dont come to terms with DJ.

Sounds like DRose is the problem

I like Thibs a bunch and he is one of the better coaches in the NBA obviously. But his "win every game at all costs" style is one of the reasons we can't stay healthy. This year doesn't matter, but in a year we're actually a contender, I'd take 5 less regular season wins to be fresh for the playoffs.

I don't know. I don't think there's a right way to do it. Generally, I think if the player can handle it, let him play. Deng was most successful and healthy under Thibs. Rose's knee injuries weren't directly caused by playing too many minutes. I do wish Thibs would play Joakim a little less since he has an extensive history of PF. And I wish he would be quicker to take some of his starters out late in the 4th quarter when the game is in hand. But I don't feel strongly about either of those assertions. And in some seasons (such as this year, if we were better) it makes sense to go balls out during the regular season for the top seed. That way you can avoid having to play Miami and Indiana until the ECF. Then you can rest after beating the crap out of the Raptors or whoever in the 2nd round while Indiana and Miami beat each other up.

Jimmer is a no-brainer. If they can get him and keep him at a min, they should be hanged if they dont.

They don't want to go into the tax, though.

Came across this on Real GM: "The Bulls are approximately $600,000 below the tax threshold and the team believes it can sign a player to a prorated deal and avoid going down as a tax team."

That would be awesome if true. I'd really like to see Jimmer here. I think he would play well next to Hinrich, as Kirk can guard most 2's and allow Jimmer to guard the opposition's PG. I'd also be excited to see Ben Gordon back as a Bull. Hopefully they can snag one of them and stay under the tax line.

Again with this...which major injuries are the result of him playing guys too hard? I completely get and agree that I'd like to him to play or have played some guys with fewer minutes, but even with that said it really hasn't cost them. Noah's PF is just something he has and either he can play or he can't. Deng's wrist? Rose's knee? Those are things that would have happened regardless of Thibs and didn't have anything to do with excessive playing time. Everything else looks like the usual wear and tear of an NBA team. It's not like they play exhausted at the end of the year or in the playoffs...so what do you point to when you decide this?

The talk lately was they were afraid of Taj getting a 250k or 500k bonus if he got 2nd or 1st team all D. If he does, they could go over the tax.

Hence they've been doing their cycle of 10 day contracts dropping down to the 12 player minimum for the maximum of 12 days. So they're basically cutting their 13th man cost in half for the back half of this season. They are in the clear around early April though so that's when we should see a permanent 13th man. Not sure most of the good target will wait that long though.

Thanks for clearing that up. In the clear meaning they could absorb the full 500k bonus and still be under the cap. I don't think there's any chance Taj makes 1st team all D.
