If this [expletive] keeps up I'm going to really get delusional about an all prospect team.

We're going to win the World Series with a payroll under 50 million.

you get two trophies for that

Unassisted DP by Javy, tagging runner going from 2nd to 3rd AND tagging runner going 1st to 2nd. WTF?

That sounds hilarious and awesome.

I'll hope that Goony's post isn't a precursor to anything bad obviously and go ahead and say I can see Pierce starting in AA next year and makes his major league debut sometime late next year......

Anything's possible, but I have a really hard time seeing that. Starting next year, I think you are going to have to really force your way into the Cubs' roster if you aren't an elite prospect. Johnson doesn't seem like he's going to do that when you could just as easily give him another year in the minors.

From what I saw of Hendricks last Thursday in his AAA debut, it wouldn't surprise me to see Hendricks in the #5 spot coming out of spring training. And he is far from an elite prospect but the kid can flat out pitch. He misses a lot of bats and some of those bats were just resting on shoulders. He works fast even with runners on and he quick pitched several hitters.

interesting - must have had a runner hung up and Javy ran at him forcing a tag for it to be unassisted.

@SmokiesonRadio Baez tags runner going from 2nd to 3rd on a high chopper & also tags the runner going from 1st to 2nd. The strangest 6 unassisted you'll see

I don't know how the [expletive] this isn't the best farm system in the game.

The prospect pundits are always a bit behind. They are going to be really blown away when they sit down in the offseason to catch up on all the systems and they see how well the Cubs did this year in terms of development. So many guys had good years. I'm having trouble thinking of important prospects who didn't. Maybe Soler?

The remains of Brett Jackson. Vizcaino.

Eh, he's been good since going back to Boise so hopefully the mechanical readjustments are finally settling in. K's have remained consistent and BB have dropped by about 3 times as much.

bad game for hendricks :(

I think his line reflects poorly on his night. 3/4 ERs came in the 5th thanks to two doubles and a walk, but he got out of it and still had 2 K's in the inning.

Bryant looks so skinny in all his pictures. I never read any evaluators discuss the fact that he could presumably add a lot of bulk to his frame, but it looks like he could.

baez only has one home run in his last 10 games, but he still has a 1.073 OPS in that stretch with 4 walks and 9 strikeouts. it's been pretty awesome watching him get better and better.

He probably could, but since he already has the power, there may not be much value to that. And it could detract from his defense.

There was an interview with (I think) one of his college teammates who was talking about how scary his power would be once he could fill out his t-shirt and had to shave more than once every two weeks (or something like that).

He doesn't have to get huge, but he's like skinny-skinny, not just power hitter skinny. Seems like he can gain a bit without giving up any mobility.
