Good news Tim, Charles Matthews reached out to Groce today. Hopefully he's the one to break the streak of five stars running from the state. If not, on to the next one.

Glad I never got too caught up in Cliff....obviously he wasn't coming to Illinois.

I never really thought we were going to get him. He probably made a good choice since Self develops big very well. That said, that was some pretty classless crap the way he did it.

 

Losing Quentin hurts us a lot more I think. That was the perfect guard for what Groce wants to do.

This sucks but I wasnt really following it closely. With the big freshman class, and only 2 seniors, would Groce have a hard time getting everyone playing time?

At least we'll have spring training and 2014 Cubs to look forward to. Oh, [expletive]

I think we'll be all right. Alexander and Snider might have really elevated the program to the top 2-3 in the B1G, but I think we'll still be solidly in the top half of the conference next year. We're not hurting for talent, though this year might be a bumpy ride.

 

Today was a bad day for sure, but I was feeling pretty good about the next few seasons before Snider was a thought and when Cliff seemed impossible.
