Purdue looked a little different with AJ Hammons and his 7 blocks last night. He's already in 10th place on Purdue's all time blocks list 1 game into his Sophomore season.

 

Davis had 14 points, 7 rebounds, a steal, 2 blocks, and 2 assists in 15 minutes of play. Nice bounce back after his 1-7 night. Extremely happy with Stephens' outside shooting so far too. I'm hoping he can keep that up. The free throw shooting was back in the 60% area, but pretty happy with the result. I'm hoping the freshman can get up to speed by the time the conference schedule starts.

 

I'm really liking Peck, he does the dirty work rebounding, getting put backs around the basket, and can even hit a 3. If Stephens can be more agressive getting open he will end up Purdue's all time leading 3 point shooter.

Early signing ends on the 20th. If he verbals and plans to sign in the Spring, yeesh.

Honestly, I had no real expectation that Cliff would commit to the Illini. The Snider thing is much more disappointing to me.

Man I wish there was any sort of public pressure for Chicago kids to go to Illinois. But no, there seems to be more influence to leave.

It's hard to disagree with that. It's weird when these kids do the preamble where they thank everyone for pursuing them and then turn around and pull a move like that. Someone did it to KU a few years ago, and I was pretty chapped.
