Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Crazy to think the Bears got Brandon Marshall for two 3rds.

But he's a cancer!

Chris Gamble retired today. Seems kinda crazy.

Saw that, was definitely surprised. I guess he figures he's been banged up enough already and it wasn't going to get much easier as he got older and decided to take his millions and go while he's still in relatively good health. Can't blame the guy.

A big gamble for Seattle, also assuming that they'll have to tend him a new contract too. The guy can be a real problem.

I'm pretty sure the deal is contingent on him signing an extension.

What about him can be a real problem? Unless you mean injury problems (migraines/ankle), I haven't heard of any character issues with him. I know he requested a trade, but that doesn't always mean the player has makeup/character issues.

He was actually banned from playing in all Virginia High School sports after punching a referee, and his issues continued during his college career at the University of Florida.

In Gainesville, Harvin was known to skip workouts, was involved in a fight with his receivers coach, and missed time due to a suspension for marijuana. Those problems haven’t disappeared as a Viking. He has already been involved in sideline screaming matches with Bill Musgrave and Leslie Frazier, and had to be physically separated from former head coach Brad Childress in one altercation.

Just received an email from the Broncos saying that Caleb Hanie and DJ Williams have been released.

Loved Percy as a player but they apparently felt like they had to trade him. He's a free agent after this year and I'm not sure what could have convinced him to get through this year without being a constant [expletive] and re-sign. If he couldn't get along with Frazier, there wasn't much hope. It was pretty telling that Jamarca Sanford was the ONLY player who was able to reach him after his injury and through the playoffs. Just chilled out in Florida and went off the grid.

Speculation was that they would get a 2nd round pick for him so a 1st this year and a 3rd next year is great. They have 1 WR coming back now next year so they need to sign at least 2 free agents (hopefully Jennings/Wallace but not counting on it) and use one of their 1st's on one.

not going to be a consistent contender until they get a QB. they should trade their first rounder plus the picks they got for harvin to move up and take geno smith.

So you're saying he can be a headache?

They could trade all of that, take Geno Smith and still not have a QB. Geno's a nice QB but there's no chance I trade that much for him. If you need a QB this year, chances are you're going to need one again next year - these guys aren't that great.

I like the later round QBs (Bray, Manuel, etc) as much as the 1st round guys. None of them are immediate starters.

Yeah I don't think they give up what it would take to get all the way up to get in a spot to take Geno. Maybe they get lucky and he is still there in the late teens/20's and make a move. But I think they will go with Ponder one more year, maybe bring in Matt Moore or Campbell for backup/competition for him and then wait until next year to draft one or take a guy later in the draft like you said this year.

Nix on his QB, and having a good QB in general, was pretty great. Fitz knows where he stands now, that's for sure.

Also, he reminds me of Roscoe P Coltrane, which is also great.

I'm glad they found it necessary to let people know where Chase Daniel might be heading...
