Cubs, Mets and Indians are my sleeper teams this year.

velveeta on anything would make me projectile vomit

Only thing I think it's good for is rotel dip, and that's only good when it's staying melted. Let that thing cool for 5 minutes and it's like you're trying to dip your chip into drying concrete.

Those 3, plus the Marlins are my biggest "sleepers." I think 2 of those 4 make the playoffs

I also think the Blue Jays could grab a playoff spot this year, but I don't know how surprising that'd actually be.

Bautista, Donaldson, and Encarnacion is as enviable a 3-5 as any team in baseball.

For those with MLBTV, I just saw I got charged for the year with the auto renewal thing. Just an FYI if you signed up last year they probably auto renewed you

Same here, be very careful if you're canceling. You can cancel on the website but that's ONLY to cancel NEXT year's auto renewal. If you want a refund for this year you have to call them and ask.

I'm moving only 8 miles south from downtown Milwaukee and now can't get the Cubs on mlb.tv. It really [expletive] sucks that I'm moving into the Cubs viewing area and will add CSN Chicago to my cable lineup but will be able to actually see 50+ less games than I could get on MLB.tv.

Any chance at WGN and WLS over-the-air?

If any team has ever had a worse ~1 year run of bad injury luck, I can't recall it. Just brutal.

Isringhausen, pulsipher, and Wilson. Late '90s Mets.

Dusty-apocalypse Cubs.

Didn't our own 2005 Cubs have some terrible injuries? Im thinking Nomar's hammy, Aramis was hurt at stretches, Sammy sneezed or something, Clement got line drived in the head and then, of course, the famous DL adventures of Prior and Woody... and then close to all this, didn't DLee hurt his wrist?

Much of this could've happened over multiple years, but for some reason, 2005 sticks in my head as when it all happened.

derrek lee broke his wrist in 2006. he was killing it in 2005 (won the batting title and hit 46 home runs).

sammy's sneeze was in 2004. you could group prior and wood being on the dl in 2004, as well.

clement was hit in the head with a line drive during his stint in boston after he left the cubs.

nomar tore his groin in 2005 which gave us this doozy of a picture:

NEVER FORGET! :)

At one point in 2004 we had 8 different players on the DL. Don't remember how many were good but it was a pretty ridiculous run of bad luck.

"I haven't seen it this bad in a long time but it still is not as bad as it was in 2004 when we lost Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Mark Grudzielanek, Todd Hollandsworth, Sammy Sosa, Joe Borowski, Aramis Ramirez, Todd Wellemeyer, Tom Goodwin, Kent Mercker, Alex Gonzalez and Mike Remlinger all to extended stays on the DL,"
