how is it that people can see a game like yesterday's, and then a game like today's, and not realize that hitting with RISP is just random luck

Because they've seen baseball games before.

For those with TV, how does Garza look?

We suck. But I really like what Sveum has done, to try and get as much as he can out of what he's got. Unlike Quade, we've found ourselves a manager.

It's like....it would take WAY less common sense to think "OMG, they got so much better at hitting with RISP today. Finally, thank God!"

and then when they go 1/6 tomorrow it's, "We suck with RISP again!"

than to just think it's complete luck.

I DON'T GET IT.

not a lot of luck involved when your last dozen guys strike out.

Wrong.

Unless you think 12K is in a row by a major league team is running to expectation somehow.

ok a slight exaggeration but when your last 6 outs are k's and almost half of them on the day are k's- it seems like the last dozen batters k'd

Serious question: Will any Cub regular put up an OPS over .800 for the season?

Castro and possibly LaHair if projections are to be trusted. Maybe Soriano if last year was a clear anomaly.

Posted

you have several that could.

Dejesus has been in the mid 700 most years

castro was close last year and should show a bit more power this

Soriano has only been below twice, and those years were still in the 700s

bird has been in 700's

aside from last years atrocity stewart has been in the 780's with a high of 804

lahair has a shot if he continues to start all year
