Carry on with this ridiculous discussion. I really hope nobody from the Illinois student section boo's a Michigan player tonight. Hopefully they weren't watching that horrible display of behavior in Bloomington, wouldn't want this "booing" and "chanting" to catch on around the league.

Iowa and Purdue, what a game. 35 freaking points in a half! :clapping:

Ugh. Only thing worse would be if Wisconsin showed up to play both teams at the same time.

Gary Harris Sr. Seems very upset:

"It was overblown," said Gary Harris Sr. "Most of it was innocent fun. Kids being kids. The atmosphere was electric."

I'm surprised the harris' didn't show up with "got harris?" t-shirts. Wait, they aren't garbage.

For the record, is be totally fine with Illinois pulling off the upset tonight.

The next 4 for IU will be telling for their Big10 hopes

@PU

UM

@Illinois

@OSU

Could easily see 3-1, or 1-3, or any other possible combination.

Did the Johnson family not own a hoop for those kids to shoot on while growing up?

That's funny because the Johnson brothers have never lost to Illinois.

Yeah this stretch of 5 games (starting with today) and the 5 to end the season are the ones that will decide if IU will win the B1G or not.

Mich St, @ Purdue, Michigan, @ Illinois, @ Ohio St. and @ Mich St, @ Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio St, @ Michigan to end the season.

Was hoping for 3-2 both of these stretches and 8-0 or 7-1 in the others. Really don't see us beating Michigan at all. I don't think OSU is that good honestly, but would expect to lose in Columbus. That would leave 1 more loss @ Ill, MSU or MN but still wouldn't be good enough to win the conference. Pretty much gotta beat Michigan in Bloomington to have any shot at a conf. title.

Trey Burke shoots 7-19 and still puts up a sexy line of counting stats.

Hopefully UM can take care of Northwestern before the @ Ind, vs. OSU, @ Wis, @ MSU gauntlet afterwards.

Man I love getting the crap kicked out of us at home several times a year now.

Might not happen if they weren't allergic to defense, rebounding and going to the basket. They're all just soft as hell.

So Purdue just offered a 3-star 2013 PG named Cornelius Elder. He goes by 'Corn' Elder, not kidding. Anyway, he's a 4-Star football recruit that apparently wants to play basketball. I seriously doubt he ends up at Purdue, but that being said if he comes to Purdue and plays football too he would only count against one of the scholarship counts correct (football presumably)?

i read the other day that Magic Johnson was the last B1G player to reach 17 pts & 7 assists for a season

Burke's sitting at 17.9/7.1 right now

i have no way of knowing, there's a million factors at play and these things don't always make sense; Darius Morris left too early and Burke very nearly did the same ill-advisedly (of which i don't begrudge them)

there's optimism that GRIII will stay a year and be the star post-Burke, but he's projected as a lottery pick right now, so that might just be wishful thinking

Unless the rule has changed, if you play football you have to be on football scholarship.

Yay, Michigan offically #1 in the AP poll by a somewhat large margin. Kansas #1 in the Coaches poll by a mere 5 points (and 2 first place votes).
