Man, I don't think I've ever seen a KU team in a tailspin like this, as much as a team that seems likely to win 12 conference games can be in a tailspin.

They should have lost the Iowa St. game as well. Point guards are important.

I hate Wisconsin but it's possible now that Iowa has a win over a team who is ranked. I'm still holding out hope.

 

I'm just thankful that Iowa put a team away though Northwestern blows.

Some stats from the game.

 

-Each team had four players foul out, including two Louisville starters and three Notre Dame starters. The only starter on either team with less that four fouls was ND's Eric Atkins, who had three.

 

-Notre Dame scored 104 points but didn't have a single player score 20. They did have six players score between 11 and 19 points plus a seventh player who had eight.

 

-Four Louisville players scored 90 of their 101 points. If you include Kevin Ware's eight points, that's five Louisville players who scored 98 of their points.

Wichita is out and won't be back in for the rest of the season, but you're going to punish Creighton for losing at Indiana State, who's proven that they're a bubble team? I don't see you trying to get Kansas State kicked out of the polls for losing at Iowa State (Hint: Iowa State = Indiana State, resume wise).

I think this is the first time all season that IU is listed as the underdog. IU has played like complete garbage recently at Ohio St, all blowout losses. Curious to see the approach against Thomas, he will get his points for sure.

Ohio St. isn't very tall. You'd think they'd go inside to Zeller and Watford, who are both taller than all but 1 player on Ohio St's roster. But I thought they'd do that against Illinois too and most other games this year, and they haven't really. I think Oladipo will have the ball in his hands a lot today as Craft will probably be on Yogi. Plus, I don't know that IU plays a lot of Hulls and Ferrell together due to Ohio St's size on the perimeter. So, could see a lot of Sheehey and Oladipo together and with Hulls with them, that could make for a tough defensive matchup for them having to keep Oladipo in front, Sheehey from cutting and Hulls from being open behind the arc all at the same time on the perimeter.

ps kst is usually going to be called for more fouls than their opponent because they're a bunch of shameless muggers.

 

ps the charge call on mcgee in ames right before the half was literally the worst charge call i've ever seen and it was a five pt swing. kst didn't get cheated out of anything in that game.

I like watching Ohio State if only to see how hilariously selfish Deshaun Thomas will be with the basketball. Thus far, 11 minutes, 6 offensive touches, 5 shots, 1 pass(a handoff 25 feet from the hoop).

That I thought IU would win today. Ohio State's lack of offensive weapons makes IU a really tough matchup.

He was on Ferrell a lot. And when IU went big in the backcourt he got bin foul trouble trying to guard Oladipo or helping on the inside.
