Is BC really so bad that everyone is picking PSU without Tim Frazier? I was under the impression that they're garbage without him... so BC must be beyond bad

They lost to Bryant. Not even Kobe Bryant, just Bryant.

I suppose that does explain it, thanks

My picks for tonight:

FSU > Minnesota (FSU -3)

Iowa > VTech (Iowa +3)**

Michigan > NC State (NC State +6.5)

WF > Nebraska (Nebraska +6)**

Maryland > NW (Maryland +4)

Indiana > UNC (UNC +9.5)

** - Really not much clue on these crap fests.

So 3-3 after tonight I guess.

I think we see a bunch of close games tonight. I think Minnesota is really going to struggle heading to FSU after being in the Bahamas or wherever. NC State is a Final Four team for me (along with Michigan, Indiana & Louisville) so I think they give Michigan a run for their money tonight. If this game were played 2 weeks ago it would be Michigan -4. I think Maryland's size poses problems for NW and they get the road win. UNC is pissed and has a real shot to knock off Indiana. Should be a good one.

Also, Penn St. beat a pretty decent Bucknell squad (#45 in Pomeroy rankings) after the Frazier injury.

I think I'm changing Maryland to NW. Feel a bit more confident in Iowa now as well and less confident in UNC. It's gonna be their first true road game and it could get ugly.

Dammit, Iowa's never going to win a game in the challenge again are we?

I enjoy your offensive pace, but you don't defend worth a damn.

But we defended fine against the bad teams.

Michigan's trying to blow this. Had a 15 point lead, now down to 5 as Michigan looks flustered offensively, and NC State is sprinting up the court and getting high percentage shots on offense. Let's see if Michigan can hold on in the last 2 minutes. Edited by UMFan83

ok, spaz

even with THJ bricking countless threes, no big deal, cause everyone else is sinking their shots; gonna be a real fun year

they looked really really good, just looked hapless for a few minutes. It's clearly a really good looking team and probably deserving of their number 3 ranking

I wonder if the B1G poaching Maryland is going to end the ACC/B1G challenge?

Won't it be 14 on 14 then? I wouldn't think the ACC would end it out of spite. And the ACC will be in stronger position to win the Challenge at that point than they are now.

Love it! UNC can't do anything to stop Yogi from getting into the lane. Zeller's beating their bigs down the floor consistently. Hell, he's beating their non-bigs down the floor. Oladipo and Sheehey are running circles around their wing players.

UNC is going to slow the game down though, so IU is going to probably have to execute in the half court to win this game. I expect UNC to play some zone (if they know how) to try to keep Yogi out of the lane. At this point, they gotta take their chances with IU taking jumpshots. Christian Watford needs to show up if it goes to a halfcourt game.

I guess you can spin it and say IU is up 9 and Watford hasn't done a thing. I love how Ferrell can take over a game without even shooting the ball. Eventually he will have to do that, but right now he can just set everyone else up.

Zeller seems to be a lot more aggressive tonight, I wonder why?

Hollowell is a going to be a great rebounder and can shoot the ball a little, but bad things happen when he tries to dribble the basketball.

He's 1 for 9 from three point range this season...he can stop shooting those any time...and yeah, he shouldn't dribble either. Play defense, pass the ball, and crash the boards, please.

That's out of his range right now, but he can make them from 15-16 feet. The 3 will be part of his game though, in the near future.
