People could also die eating nachos

Seriously though, Wrigley fans would [expletive] those things up in no time (and anyone in them).

So keep a large number of them in a few strategic areas and hire an additional staff of maintenance and security personnel to keep things running properly. It's not like an all-day every-day music festival kind of a situation, we're talking about 80ish 3 or 4 hour long periods of time. That should be doable and a better option than leaving paying customers to either piss into cups in plain sight or miss an entire inning whilst waiting in the bathroom line.

also there were no hotdog vendors to be found the entire game in my section and waited in line at a concession stand only to be told they were out of hot dogs...then checked at the next stand...also no hot dogs. like wtf how does that happen?

PTR let his Costco membership expire

Had seats two rows behind the Cubs dugout last night. The lines for the bathroom were horrendous early in the game. I hit the concourse after the third inning and it was a sea of people. You couldn't tell the line for the bathroom from the line for food from general traffic.

Cups of piss littered the wall along the line to the johns.

And yea, we didn't see a hotdog vendor (or any type of vendor other than beer) in our section until the middle of the ninth.

The video board...the idea of it doesn't bother me. It was just odd, because I would look to the board to find some information, the count for example, and it would take me a few seconds to realize it wasn't there, and I had to check

The main scoreboard. I also could have done without the video montages they would play between innings as some shitty ACDC song played in the background. I don't mind a video board, I just wish we didn't have to deal with tractor races, stupid video montages, and walk up music every time someone comes up to bat.

Get off my lawn.

I assume that was a typo and you meant to say piss on Beth Murphy

BUT THE TRADITION OF NOT HAVING THINGS

Posted

I liked how the board looked last night. It will take some getting used to.

The bathroom lines were pretty long, but not longer than any other big game. Not sure what the fuss is about: did they remove bathrooms for the renovation?

ETA: apparently, there were two bathrooms down in the UD.

Did some people walk all the way to the bleachers to go to the bathroom before?

That's the only thing that makes any sense, other than people pregaming all day.

The Cubs said they already had long lines downstairs, and that 2 bathrooms upstairs went down unexpectedly, forcing them to go downstairs as well. They plan to add portable units apparently.

If true seems like a pretty easy fix... Move in some port-a-potties until the facilities are fully up and running.

Sounds like this is gonna happen starting tomorrow.

We had hot dog vendors, no one selling Pepsi. No one selling peanuts. Goose Island beer was every half inning.

The board was nice as was the Banks video productions, the infrastructure was terrible. I was in the UD box 3rd base side. That line extended under the press boxes down the LF line.

Not a good look.

I'm going to the next two games. I guess I'll make sure to pee before I go in and then only have one beer then hope for the best.

But yeah, they made sure to have the jumbotron working...

Excellent. We're already at Desperation DEFCON 3 and it's only the second game of the season. This is going to be fun.

Makes sense now. That would have caused havoc at any big game pre-renovations.
