Interesting that they're going with the postseason arrangement on the CF board for Sunday night.

The Cubs and Cards are the only teams represented. Typically the rest of MLB would be up there with "NO GAME" notices.

Maybe because, like the postseason, the Cubs and Cardinals will be the only teams currently "in season" since everyone else starts on Monday. Just a guess

Baseball tonight from outside wrigley starts in 10 min (9pm ct) bet there will be some good views of the park.

Some numbnuts ESPNRadio host said that the renovations were "a disgrace" (due to their being incomplete). He then went on to cite several reasons why they weren't finished which weren't at all the reasons.

What reasons did he say?

His first reason was "Hoy Doy! Did you know it's cold in Chicago in the winter?"

It went on from there

Omg apparently Soler and Olt hit the jumbotron in BP and one of them busted a panel already

It's like they're trying to make Ricketts cry.

Dickerson and Hood. Hilariously, both are Chicago-based, Dickerson does Bears reporting and Hood does evening/basketball stuff on ESPN 1000.

I'm assuming it was Hood that was saying the stupid stuff, then, because he does that a lot.

Then again I don't know much about Dickerson's opinions because I only hear him doing Bears reports.

Honestly, the video board is just kind of whatever to me. Doesn't excite me other than it = $$$. Could live without it for sure but it doesn't bother me either. I'm more excited about the restoration to the exterior of the park. When that's done it's going to look so good.

Look good....to people walking by and waiting to get in? Why would that possibly be more exciting than improvements to the part of the park that you see while watching the game?

Yeah, just to the feel of the park. Gonna give it a retro look instead of the run down look it has now. I like that sort of thing. I'm just not one to pay attention to jumbotrons at baseball games. There's a gigantic one at Coors Field where I visit frequently and I barely pay attention to it. I look at the ribbon boards displaying count, pitch speed etc... way more often. I know there's a lot of people that are different and have to look constantly at the video board and that's perfectly fine. It's just not me.

The new scoreboard is pretty loud. I can hear the organ music pretty distinctly in my condo about a half mile away. I could never hear it before.

Word on Twitter was that ushers were handing out gate passes and telling folks to hit the McDonald's or 7-Eleven.

Simple math should have prevailed. Lower bowl sections should have been closed and tickets refunded if they couldn't maintain at least last year's level of service.

I honestly couldn't give two shits about the OF situation given all that's transpired and the magnitude of the project, but that bathroom situation seems pretty egregious.
