Don't know if this has been answered, but what did they do with the ivy in RF/LF? I hope they dug it up by the roots, are caring for it and will plant it when the walls are up. Of course they'll have to reattach the vines because it take years to get new ivy back. I read they are going to re-cycle the old bricks, back into project. I remember when they tore down Comiskey Park, a firm paid for all of them because of their age and quality. The Sox had to hire a security firm to guard them 24 hrs a day because fans were stopping and taking some.

The outfield walls haven't come down. They are supposed to be doing some masonry work and possibly rebuilding some parts of them, but I don't believe they are coming down entirely.

Last year they did some work and had to take down some of the ivy in LF. After they put it back up, it took a couple of months and it looked weird in April, but it grew back in nicely by the time it was in bloom.

Kaplan reporting that some of the rooftops are nearing deals to sell to Ricketts.

Hah. Looks like they are no longer a united front and realized they lost. Will be interesting to see what they do with the rooftops once they own them.

Yeah, if it is a rooftop that has a blocked view, not sure what you can do, but maybe some sort of pre and post game lounge for the club ticket holders, like all the fancy bar/restaurants you see in the new stadiums.

I'm kinda hoping they just blow them up

Could move some of their office space into the lower floors, but I like the "using it as pre-game area for suites" area the best.

I would love it if Rickets approached the owners like R.J. Fletcher in UHF just wide-eyed and crazy and all like "I'M GONNA BUY THIS PLACE AND TURN IT INTO A PARKING LOT"

Actually, a parking garage might be a wise investment now that I think about it.

not sure if this was in the original report, but kaplan said on that sports talk live show that they already have a deal in place with george loukas for his building(s)
