Looks more like they're prying the statue loose from the base to move it somewhere while work is being done to me.

He's going to wind up in the dumpster next to the birthday cake

I'm sure Sullivan is frantically taking pictures of the top of the base that was chiseled off with his Razr.

No worries; quality control specialist Rick Sutcliffe appears to be overseeing the operation.

Banks had been out of the organization for years before Mark Grace started playing.

you know how the renderings show the new RF scoreboard as one of those like 1980's style black and white (yellow) LED boards

that can't be what it's actually going to be right? that's an HD video board just showing old school looking things like is often done, right?

why the hell would they make it that on the renderings?

I imagine they wish to create the impression that the proposed changes will differ minimally from the present feel of Wrigley. They probably want to avoid making the renderings look overly splashy or modern.

for anyone interested, bleedcubbieblue has been putting up more photo updates than the media

Someone with the skill and time should take the last picture from todays update with the woman standing guard next to the opened up outfield fence, and put that picture of Roast with his karate gear and sword over the woman.

i hadn't noticed before (or maybe i forgot) that they're making the upper deck directly behind home/under the press box like a club area. the rendering of the bar there looks pretty amazing.

think this rendering was made before they announced the new boards

i heard something about press box work this offseason. i wonder if they're doing the new press box by next year.

an open air bar area like that could be pretty badass.

yeah. i hope it isn't limited to just club ticket holders or something.

It looks like suite, club and other "elite" ticket holders have their sections and that one should be open to most.

maybe i'm wrong but i kinda assumed that was the part they labeled the "club lounge" on the cross-section view. it does look different (in particular the ceiling) though. it just seems to me that that's the same area.

i hope you're right though because that looks like an awesome place to hang out for a few innings.

You may be right. It kind of looks like the club lounge area would not be open air though.

My understanding was that the press box work would involve only the construction of a control room for the new video boards.
