Sorry for the random question, but I was going to go to the game today and was wondering if you can park in the neighborhood for a 3:05 game?

You'll definitely get a ticket unless you have a guest pass. There used to be permit-free parking near Barry and Racine but I don't know if that's still the case.

How far are you willing to walk? When I was younger and more broke I just parked sufficiently far from the park and walked. I know I had to go past Southport, but I can't recall how much further it was.

Anywhere past the 7-Eleven store on that corner is free parking. It's only about a 10-15 minute walk from there.

I still think the jumbotron is a huge eyesore.

I guess that makes me old.

It has nothing to do with age. I'm older than you by a decent amount, and I love it.

Yeah, I really enjoyed having it there during the game.

Yeah, I ended up just parking a mile away and walking. Not bad.

Now if the game would have just been better. However, I was really pleased by the jumbo tron. I can't believe how normal it feels to have it there.

Yea I'm with you. I guess what I don't get is why they feel the need to have one in right field too.

Because it brings in revenue.

I agree that the video boards have been pulled off quite nicely. Like I said, I am in favor of the renovations. BUT...

Wrigley was the last place where you could go to see a game without all that stuff. No electronics. Just a bunch of guys with a bat and a ball. 40 thousand fans. And beer. In the middle of a neighborhood. I will really miss the old Wrigley.

Jesus Christ you guys, go to a High School game if 2010 technology is just too distracting for you. You sound like my grandfather bitching about the 3 point line.

I never said it was distracting. I said I was in favor of it.

I absolutely LOVE how the new sign in RF completely blocks the views from that building (which I believe is one of hte buildings in the original lawsuit). Screw the rooftops!

I had to Google the Hertz location to be sure, but that's the triangle plot. AKA the parking lot here:
