Don't see this in the past couple of pages, but the bullpens are going to remain on the field for 2016, not under the bleachers like originally planned. They claim it's so they can focus the work on the bigger things they want to get done (clubhouse, etc..)--likely with the thought of a possibly extended playoff run taking up a prime month of their construction timeline (we can only hope), but maybe they are rethinking that idea and could leave the bullpens on the field?

I believe that decision was announced a while back.

i think it was relatively recently

but anyway, i doubt they're shelving it entirely unless they found some way to make money off the space under the bleachers (or close to as much as they'd make from the new seats where the current bullpens are).

My niece's husband (nephew-in-law?) works for a company that was hired to work on the new clubhouse. I jokingly told him to take a bunch of pictures on the down low and send them to me. He said they were required to sign waivers stating that they wouldn't talk to media, post pictures on social media, interact with anyone from the franchise, or take anything from the stadium, including dirt. I'm not sure if it's common speculation in the Chicago area but my nephew (not the same kid) has a crazy theory that Kris Bryant is an alcoholic and that's why he plays better in night games. The nephew-in-law texted saying that KB walked into the park just now wearing sunglasses, a sure sign that he is hungover.

I know, I know, Cool story, bro.

He has missed multiple games with a hangover.

fwiw, in the past Sharma has claimed somewhat emphatically that Bryant doesn't drink at all.

Light blue eyes are really sensitive to the sun. That's why he is bad during day games.

Also if Bryant was a drinker wouldn't something have come out on social media like Kris Bryant is at So and So bar doing shots / drinking?

I mean unless he is knocking them back at home by himself?

looks like they've got it all covered. it seems like they should be able to have the plaza area ready (at some point) next year if they want to, though I'm guessing they'll wait to open that all up until the office building is done (which i have no idea how long that would take)

yeah why wasn't he singing karaoke with theo and rizzo if he's a party animal??

I know it's fun to joke about it but I think there would be some serious issues if Bryant missed multiple games this year because of hangovers

Well if he is out at the bars it wouldn't be a drinking problem would it? Only a problem when your knocking them back alone.

Yea, I mean even hungover he's gotta be better than any bench option. Serious managerial question for Joe to answer.

People his age don't get hangovers.

Pretty sure those diagrams are outdated already.

And I wonder if they'll add the OF light towers in the offseason (or ever). They were originally supposed to be there (like the bleachers) for opening day 2015.

I get fewer hangovers now (early 30s) than when I was in my teens/early 20s.

All about prevention.
