Jesus. I've never heard one called that either. I've heard it called a wife beater a million times, but never that.

 

Must be an older Chicago area term, because I've heard my dad use it a bunch of times. I don't think it's meant to be offensive (which it clearly is), but it's apparently something that was used without much thought where my dad grew up (Elmwood Park, which was about 50/50 Irish/Italian when he was growing up).

Honestly just [expletive] without the Tee is thrown around a lot in a lot neighborhoods without much care, in my experience. My wife is half Italian and its not even a second thought to use the word pretty openly. In high school most Italian kids I knew really only cared about the "w" slur word for Italians and [expletive] was no big deal.

Back when I was in high school the song "Rock Me Amadeus" was a big hit. The Italian girls in our school would sing along and change the words to "I'm a dego". Of course, the also change the Rock Me part to [expletive] Me.

Looking good...are they still targeting next homestand for LF/CF?

 

May 11th. Haven't heard anything about a delay so I see no reason to think otherwise given the visible progress.

 

Also, Budweiser sign is now in its permanent spot.
