If these quotes are meaningless and worthless, how have you formed your opinion of Brady? Do you know him personally?

Watching him. You know he's chill from all the relaxing by the pool you guys do together?

I formed my opinion based on evidence that you have conveniently discounted because it doesn't support your argument or position.

Bc there aren't similar statements from every NFL QB? It's not persuasive, that's why I discount it.

I think you formed your opinion bc he's a Michigan Man (as you said).

Not really. I genuinely like Drew Brees (Purdue). Another one I think quite a bit of is Aaron Rodgers and he's a freaking Packer.

Maybe it's spending 10 years in Walmart Wolverine hell, but he's a god among all UM fans I know. Has nothing to do with his time at Michigan. But that school claimed to be QB U for years and he's the only one they can really point to.

Harbaugh, Greise, Grbac, Henne...??

I have noticed that every athlete that I think is a douche plays a leading role on a successful team. I have also found that I usually root against that successful team.

I have noticed that I have never thought a player was a douche who plays for a team that I root for.

You never thought LaTroy Hawkins was a douche? 8-)

Really? I find I think at least one player is a incredible douche on every team I root for every year. I'm pretty good at compartmentalizing these things, so it very rarely is overly bothersome.

chill and humble

Those were the words somebody used to describe Tom Brady and I have no idea how that is possible. He's not anywhere near "chill". He's also an NFL QB who knocked up his actress girlfriend, then left her for the world's greatest super model. He regularly tries to get into the model business as well. On the field he cries and whines about every call that does not go his way and beyond that demands outrageous calls go in his favor. The guy has absolutely no reason to be humble, I would love for him to have been the Bears QB for the past decade and would love to live his life, but let's stop pretending he's humble. He doesn't reach the Brett Favre level of douchiness, but since when is that piece of a crap the bar you must hurdle?

What does this have to do with him being chill and humble? Odd thing to include in your Brady rant.

Must be really hard to find one on Indiana.

From 2001-2010, which of these were great NFL QBs?

Ryan [expletive] Theriot. Come on.

Biased aside, I think top to bottom the Giants are a better football team. Their defense, esp front 7 destroys that of the Patriots. On the offensive side of the ball, I think it's a push

A more humble quarterback would've knocked up this gal:

we had future NFL QBs start every year for eighteen straight seasons, including a future hall of famer, and another pro bowler; yeah, what an asinine assertion, that we might be a good school for QBs

no offense GR, but your biases cause you to make some hilariously dumbass arguments sometimes

Can't believe some people are still harping on the non-fumble by Bradshaw. Clear as day, he was moving backwards when he fumbled it. How can they even argue with it.

It was a tough way to lose, with the Giants catching some breaks. But they were good calls. The muffed punt and the Bradshaw non-fumble. Why is the Bradshaw play keep getting mentioned? Is it because I'm in the Bay Area?

What are you talking about? My point was only to refute UM's claim that Brady wasn't a guy Michigan fans point to as some great player. Every UM fan I knew referred to QBU and the first name they mentioned was Brady. Yes, eventually they cite the Grbacs and Hennes of the world, but they sure don't shy away from claiming Brady bc he's far and away the best of the bunch.

Take it easy my friend.

Outside of being a long time fan of the Patriots, anyone cheering for the Patriots in this one would generally just have to be a pathological douchebag, IMO. What's really to hate about the Giants? Maybe Eli over the draft day thing but that was eight years ago. I think you have to admire the way they have gone about building their team via the draft. There is no goon the the Giants, they generally are all likeable guys.

I think we lost several pages worth of un-winnable arguments by letting the humility talk drown out this post.

So who are the goons on the Patriots? Ocho Cinco? It's clear by now that the Patriots only signed him to coax Welker onto Twitter. Level of humility has no bearing on Goon Quotient, so Brady's clear. Any beef with Belicheat is countered by Coughlin's drunken whiny dwarf face. Your point would have been more valid if it especially applied to long-time Pats fans.
