like, i just can't revel in this enough. as much as i have this cerebral appreciation for the heat. as much as i really, truly appreciate the amazing talent and player that lebron james is. in my bones, in my soul, seeing them lose has a level of satisfaction that cannot be explained. that it's the celtics is irrelevant. it could be the bill lambeer pistons for all i care. just lose, heat.

Just imagine... If the refs weren't nuts in Game 2, Celtics would've won the series 4-1 and have a nice long break until the Finals.

If Bulls/Heat/Celtics were all healthy, I think Celtics would give the Bulls a harder time and possibly beat them than the Heat (Pacers and Celtics are showing teams that you can beat them if you shut down Wade). I'm not sure if Bulls being healthy would be winning this series against the Celtics right now and that's with Avery Bradley out and Allen/Pierce not being 100%. They're playing great team basketball which is shocking because of how sloppy/crappy/horrible/etc they were against the Sixers.

As far as LeBron finding that killer instinct... I think he needs a coach who has big enough balls to say in the huddle at the end game in front of Wade/Bosh, "It's your ball LeBron." Every single time. To the point where Bosh/Wade start complaining about it, but you still give it to LeBron. With the Cavs, there was no other options so LeBron had to have the ball at the end. Basically you're forcing LeBron to develop that killer instinct. He's too passive to do it on his own.

Celtics/Spurs finals would be boring, but it would be a very interesting series IMO. 2 aging teams who execute well and 2 great coaches. It'll be like a chess match. Not to mention the KG/Duncan matchup and most likely one last final/title for either one.

Maybe... but honestly I think the Bulls just match up well with the Celtics. I would be much more worried going into a series with the Heat than the Celtics (even after watching this series). I mean part of the reason the Celtics are doing so well is that the Heat have no big men to stop KG (and he doesn't have to guard them on defense). The bulls have a big strength with their bigs. I think really athletic teams can give the bulls trouble and the celtics certainly aren't that. In fact, when Rose went down, I was almost hoping the bulls lost to the sixers because I figured the Celtics were the only team with a chance against the Heat at that point and I even thought a rose-less bulls team could give the celtics fits. Maybe that would be wrong in hindsight as the celtics have played much better than I thought they could this series, but I just think they match up well with them. I think if the bulls made it to the 2nd round, there would have been a lot of close, ugly games.

There's that championship spirit!

For some reason, that reminded me of Wade's quote in game 4 of the finals last year when he missed a big free throw at the end. "I can't shoot the free throw any better than that. The basketball gods didn't want it to go in."

I don't expect him to make every FT or anything, but he probably could have shot it better if he would have just made it.

If the Heat don't win it all this year one has to wonder if they'll win at all. As the years go on, due to their financial situation, what are they going to get besides older? Lebron is immaterial to me, Wade' the real dick in this scenario, seeing him go down is a joy to watch.

I bet the heat win this series.

I think that's what happens too. Or I'm overly pessimistic.

It sure is a surprise that you'd pick the Heat. Stunner really.

Im not a Heat fan and I like this Boston team as well.

I just think that LBJ and Wade will get the whistle in game 6 and then win game 7 at home. If Bosh recovers more and plays more of the game, his ability to hit from 16-18 feet will keep Garnet from playing rim protectpor. At least make his old body move more on D so that he cant abuse the Heat all game like he has been. So I think if the Heat win game 6 and then win an HCA game 7.

Spo is a joke.

I agree with all of this except for the Bosh part. I think his pt remains limited.

Someone tell me a healthy Bulls team couldn't have made the finals. Although OKC looks really tough. I'm in Vegas and before game 5 OKC was 3 to 1 to win it all. SA and Miami were both 1 to 1. Couldn't believe it. I wanted to bet but I don't bet on sports.

Are the Celtics and Heat healthy in this scenario?

A healthy Bulls team beats a healthy Celtics team IMO. And could beat the Heat even with Bosh. But the OKC matchup would scare me.

The Celtics maybe, MAYBE, get two against us.

We'd still probably lose to the Heat because of the terrible LeBron on Rose match up.
