He would've had to have gone somewhere that is equal to or worse than Cleveland to have people root for him. So, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Memphis, Charlotte, Atlanta, Washington, Toronto, Orlando, New Jersey, Detroit, Sacramento, Utah, New Orleans, San Antonio, Indiana: pro-LeBron.

Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Boston, Chicago, New York: anti-LeBron.

You might be right. I'm sure there would have been a dislike just from "The Decision" (I personally didn't really care about the show... except that it almost brought Jim Gray back to relevance and then his actual decision brought Steven A. Smith back to relevance).

However, I really think there wouldn't have been as much hate if he chose Chicago. Before the decision, nearly every analyst agreed that Chicago would have been the best fit/move for him. They were a team full of strong role players and rose. And while Rose was a good player, he wasn't looked at like he would be today. They were an 8-seed kind of team that needed a player like Lebron. Cleveland was a lottery team without Lebron. I think that would have been a team that people said, "sucks for cleveland, but we understand." He clearly would have been the man, but now with a much better supporting cast that would help him win championships--but not guaranteed. I think most of the hate came from "needing to" join two superstars and everyone thinking that he wanted to win without really having to work at it. Miami would have been a high seed in the East without him (they already now had bosh). There was just an extra dirty feeling when he announced Miami that I don't think any other team would have had.

Skip and co were going on about how LeBron and the Heat were just unstoppable this year and so much better than last year, and Cuban just tore it up. Went into depth about the Mavs defensive scheming, how OKC apparently didn't look at any of that tape last year, because their defense didn't try anything they did to stop the Heat last year. Then this exchange happened:

Skip: "Yeah, what did you guys do last year to stop them? A zone or something?"

Cuban: "If you never watch any tape, you don't know what questions to ask."

Skip: "We don't always have access to tapes."

Cuban: "It has nothing to do with access. It has everything to do with effort."

i started laughing about a minute in when cuban talks about how they never use facts, bayless gets his panties in a bunch and says "that's all i use on this show," cuban talks about "excruciating pressure, undeniable this, it's just all generalities," and the bayless says "there's never been a star under more pressure going into a finals than lebron james was under" which completely makes cuban's point for him.

i thought the coup de gras was when cuban asks bayless why a team would use a zone defense and bayless has no substantive response

Lebron's new shoe, "The Lebron X," is going to be $300+. [expletive]

MICHAEL WOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT

I know you're joking. But I doubt Lebron has anything to do with the pricing of his shoe/figuring out marketing and pricing of it and this is coming from an "anit-lebron" guy. This is all on Nike, it's going to be funny to see the outrage towards Lebron on this though.
