Tebow is going to be discovered in Vegas dressed as a large toddler with 3 hooker/doms and a goat and then we will all know the real Timmy

I wouldn't be surprised if he's a homosexual. He's pretty effiminate off the field.

He's not hurting anyone. Laugh at him if you want. I do too, actually. If someone actually converts to evangelical Christianity because they watched Tim Tebow score a TD and chalk it up to God, well....I'd say that's pretty hollow.

Of course. But Pat Robertson goes on TV and says natural disasters are punishment from God. And people apparently believe it.

Point is, I guarantee you a large amount of people think Tebow is getting a hand from the big guy.

I just really don't get the hate. Yes, the media overhypes him but that's not something of his creation. I can't recall him ever talking about how good he is. As far as the religious stuff goes, so what? Lots of athletes wear their faith on their sleeves like that. Can it be obnoxious to see him put bible verses on his stupid eye black? Well yeah of course it is, but I don't hate the guy or wish him to fail.

I don't hate him, I dislike that he gets too much credit for games like today. If the media would say that Tebow is a good game manager on a team that is playing outstanding defense with a really good kicker, then I wouldn't mind him at all.

But who in the (respected) media says that he is a great QB like Rodgers, Brees, or Brady? I think most of the people I hear (Mad Dog, ATH or PTI) look at it for what it is: he's getting great breaks and doesn't turn the ball over. So he's winning.

I don't think anyone thinks he is as good as them, but there are plenty that think is much more than just a game manager. Did Trent Dilfer get this much hype when he won the Super Bowl with Baltimore.

The whole thing is just [expletive] annoying because he gets to play the QB position as shitty as possible but the meatballs get to keep playing the "he's a winner card". It is simply a violation of football sensibility, as Tom Waddle would put it. Sure Denver is winning games but their ability to play defense and run the ball has A LOT to do with that. Instead the meatballs make out Tebow to be a "winner". It is more of a frustration with unintelligent football fans and/or commentary than anything to do with Tebow himself. At least that is how I see it.

And again, this is Tebow's fault how? Hell, if anything, it's the people looking for any excuse to crucify him that's perpetuating the Jesus image right now.

It truly is amazing the people that actually believe those kind of things. I have worked with people who believe natural disasters are a punishment from God for our space research and I do currently work with people who believe Tebow has God in his back pocket. And I'm just talking fairly average white collar types of jobs. The truth is most people are [expletive] idiots.

It doesn't have to be his fault to make it annoying though.

Dude makes sure the post game cameras see him doing his little point to the sky gesture. The implication is obvious.

Also, the only good team Tebow has beaten is.... nobody? Denver got smoked by a healthy Lions team. If the Bears had Cutler and Forte this is a cakewalk. He's beaten NOBODY.

Miami 4-9

KC 5-8

Jets 8-5 (maybe ok?)

San Diego 6-7

Minny 2-11

Bears without Cutler/Forte

If he beats the Patriots I'll be stunned.

edit: plus he's required statistically impossible events to win most of these anyway

haha, really? I'd imagine cameras were already on TIM TEBOW like they are on ALL QB's during a game winning (or losing) kick.

Watch him walking off after the game. He stops and points to the sky several times.

I don't get it. So what? Lots of players do that. You're condemning him because his pointing action is more exaggerated?

Because he does it several times, and I think he's doing it to make sure the cameras catch it.

If he wasn't trying to be caught on camera he wouldn't do it more than once.

You're just being silly now.

I don't think so at all.

But I will admit to being irrationally angry about this loss.

I know He's Catholic

I think he's Protestant

I'd imagine so. Are there evangelical Catholics? I honestly don't know. I've never personally encountered any though.

This is part of the reason why everyone hates Tebow. The Bears just lost a soul crushing game that basically ended our season, and all everyone wants to talk about is why people hate Tim Tebow.

I'm not Christian and I don't care about his religion. It's the fact that he's a game manager who hasn't defeated a good team yet and gets far more credit than he deserves from the media and football simpletons. And I do think the media tries to push his religion (and his effort level) in an attempt to stir the pot which is also annoying, especially considering most football players have insane work ethics and many football players are also very religious. So yes, it's primarily the media's doing but it's still annoying. The most annoying though is that the Bears would have won by at least 2 scores if Cutler and Forte were healthy.

Oh, I hate Marion Barber much, much, much, much, much more than Tebow.
