Asked for his thoughts on Tebow after the game, Brian Urlacher was succinct.

“He’s a good running back, man. He runs the ball well,” Urlacher said.

Why Urlacher is talking post game trash is beyond me YOU LOST THE FREAKIN GAME MORON!

The offense lost the game. They went all those years without an offense, and just when it looked like they had one with credibility, one that could actually convert on 3rd and 8, and score occasionally, it all blows up and they now have a worse offense than they've ever had during the Urlacher era. He's not talking trash, its accurate.

The thing that sucks the most about these three games is those teams are obviously terrible, and they've done nothing in the games played to suggest they are anything but terrible. The Bears offense is just so incredibly impotent without Cutler that it doesn't even matter how terrible those opponents have been. With Cutler they probably win all three games by more than a touchdown.

Yep, if Cutler's healthy, we're 10-3 with an 8 game win streak and all but locked up a playoff spot. Hell, I'll even give the Raiders that game because the Bears did put up a decent amount of points. Still 9-4 team with Cutler at worst. Pay him whatever the hell he wants, oh and get him some damn help.

One of the most disappointing things in all of this is that Peppers, Urlacher, Briggs, and Tillman aren't getting any younger. We're wasting an outstanding defensive season right now. There's no way all of them make it basically through a 3rd consecutive season without injuries next year. [expletive] it all.

I think the Bears beat Oakland easily with Cutler. He's got 2 more years on his deal at a very favorable price. There's probably no need to act fast, but I would strongly suggest they get a deal done by midseason next year.

Wanting to cut/get rid of Barber is total reactionary silliness. Yes, he made a couple of HUGE mistakes yesterday, but he's been a really strong backup RB for us this season. Remember Chester Taylor anyone?

A MESSAGE MUST BE SENT THAT WE ARE ANGRY

If there's any silver lining to this, it's the fact that any remaining doubts about Cutler's value to this team have been removed. They'll get a deal done.

I would bet there are tremendous doubts from the naysayers about a) his durability, b) his desire to play/win, c) his worthiness for a big franchise QB contract. Hell, there were Peyton Manning doubters until well after he won a SB. People will comment about how Cutler has finished back to back seasons injured.

With our luck, Bears are going to win next week with the Lions losing to the Raiders, get Cutler and Forte back on Xmas for the Packers, lose a heartbreaker and then win vs. Minnesota, so the Bears will draft 20th (first team out of playoffs) instead of like 14th or something they would pick from being 7-9.

I'm sure you're right, although after seeing the effects of him out of the lineup, that kind of talk seems more like digging for anything negative to say about an obviously valuable player. Especially considering we don't have alternatives on the roster, and we've got a long history of failing to acquire a good QB.

Wow, the negative vibes. That's horrifying.

Yeah, Cutler should hold out for a giant contract. The Bears have absolutely no leverage here. What's the downside for Cutler? Everyone already thinks he's a dick. The competitor in him is bothered by this injury, but the businessman in him is loving it.

Doubting Cutler at this point, given the embarrasing O-line Angelo has given him, would be ridiculous.

your posts deserve to be trolled, they're terrible. saying that the bears haven't drafted a player worth a damn in over 5 years is a lot dumber than someone calling you out on your nonsense.

You can list names if you wish to prove my post wrong, or you can just troll my post and look stupid. You also have to option to read between the lines and understand that I completely hate Angelo and his horrible managing of my favorite NFL team.

Forte is a nice player, but we've had so many misses in the draft and we have had years to shore up this o-line which still has yet to be done. This season was basically a duplicate of last season. O-line issues, no WRs, less good TE play and a good aging defense.

Indeed. I'll give Angelo Forte and Hester. Hester was a head scratcher at the time if I remember correctly due to him not having a real strong position other then KR/PR

And we traded 2 first round picks and a 2nd/5th swap (got Knox in the 5th) for a top 10 QB that has completely justified the trade and unfortunately wasted one on Gaines Adams, who, IMO, would have thrived in this defense if he didn't, you know, die.

The draft the year after the Super Bowl was atrocious and indefensible, but since then, it hasn't been terrible. Also, if Jay doesn't get hurt, we're 9-4 or 10-3 and on our way to the playoffs with a good chance of at least 1 playoff win. I'm not a huge Angelo fan, but his drafting isn't the reason for yesterday's loss or Jay getting hurt.

I'd argue Olsen didn't outplay or play up to his draft position, but he's been worth more than a damn.

Look I know Hester is a great player and this is Forte's breakout year, so while admitting that those two players have been great for us, I'm not going to give Angelo a pass. In doing so, that in no way refutes my thought process that Angelo has been horrible and his drafts in large have been unproductive. With the exception of Briggs and Urlacher, we've drafted 0 blue chip players.

Well, his drafting has been the main reason why the offensive line has sucked so much and contributed to the abuse Cutler took, although not specifically on that play.

Olsen is not a full time TE in this league and he in no way is comparable to the top TEs in the NFL. Hes arguably a second tier TE due to the fact that he cant do anything outside of pass catching.

I too am not blaming our drafting on yesterday's game or Cutler being hurt. I am blaming the drafting on the lack of depth on this team that is going to cripple us with the inevitable decline that is going to come with our top defensive players.

Even if the Bears made the playoffs, their chances to go all the way were very slim.
