This is part of the reason why everyone hates Tebow. The Bears just lost a soul crushing game that basically ended our season, and all everyone wants to talk about is why people hate Tim Tebow.

Oh, I hate Marion Barber much, much, much, much, much more than Tebow.

And we come to our common ground.

Bears fans..stop blamin Marion barber! He helped us more then screwed us! Blame it all on Hanie! How many 3 and outs we had with that scrub!

Dude (or Bitch) Marion Barber had 2 relatively simple hard to [expletive] up things to do to basically seal a Bears victory. The first time, he simply had to hang onto the ball and not run 15 yards straight towards the big white sideline thing. A 15 yard loss would have been acceptable on that play as long as he didn't fumble and he didn't run out of bounds. He could have taken the hand off, turn around, run to the 1 yard line and kneel down and it probably would have been ok. But he ran towards the sideline and tried to get extra yards and forgot the situation we were in before....running out of bounds.

The second time, the Bears were looking at a 57 yard FG during a game where the kickers have already gone 2 for 2 at FGs over 57 yards and a stadium where the ball is known for traveling longer distances because of the thin air. You get a chance at a handoff. Sure a couple of yards would be beneficial to make it a much easier kick, but the most important thing is to hand on to the ball. And what happens, he tries to fight for extra yards, takes his 2nd half off of the ball and fumbles. The painful thing is that he could have taken it to the house or at least gotten an extra 20 yards to make it a chip shot FG.

But yeah, Caleb Hanie was more at fault. (Not to say that Hanie was good because he was terrible and the 2nd biggest goat of the game but despite all that we were in the situation to win before we got Barber'd.

The most annoying though is that the Bears would have won by at least 2 scores if Cutler and Forte were healthy.

Very, very likely.

Even more annoying is that we should be 9-4 and in the drivers seat in the wild card even without Cutler. We honestly should have won that Chiefs game as well.

All it takes is a 35 yard FG made by Gould, a Roy Williams catch (or at least not a Roy Williams deflection right to a Chiefs player), and Marion Barber not running out of bounds when that was the only thing he was asked not to do. Horrible horrible luck.

It's just so weird that everything was going our way until the end of the Chargers game. People were saying we were the 3rd best team in the NFC and a dark horse to go to the super bowl. The offense was starting to roll and the line was actually blocking decently. The swagger was there, the defense was good enough, and Hester was again dangerous returning kicks.

The all the sudden it was like a switch was hit and we all the sudden had probably the unluckiest 3 week stretch that I have probably ever witnessed from a professional sports franchise. I think even Lions and Packers fans would agree that we have been completely snakebitten the last 3 weeks.

Dude makes sure the post game cameras see him doing his little point to the sky gesture. The implication is obvious.

haha, really? I'd imagine cameras were already on TIM TEBOW like they are on ALL QB's during a game winning (or losing) kick.

Watch him walking off after the game. He stops and points to the sky several times.

Like Z after every inning?

Tebow didn't even do much to win the game. Got his team to what? The 42? Kicker made the 59 yarder -- Timbow wasn't even on the field.

He wasn't on the field for the Barber season-obliterating fumble, either.

Unfortunately the national dialogue is locked on Tebow whenever they win, regardless of how they won. If there's magic, it will run out. But I do understand frustration with the media coverage. I just ignore most of these guys anyway now.

Chris Berman's "If you don't like Tebow than you pretty much support Hitler" schtick is annoying as hell.

Berman's on my mental ignore list.

Or Devin Hester before every return.

Even if the Bears would of won today, and they should of despite the prevent defense and Barber mistakes, this team is garbage with Henie leading the offense. So lets say the Bears would of won today...the offense sucked balls for the last 3 weeks. Maybe, just maybe with a lot of luck they could back their way in the playoffs, but with 2 more games even against weak oppenents i dont see them winning. The line sucks [expletive] at pass blocking it always had this year, Jay Cutler made this whole thing work (and Forte). This team is terrible in 3rd down conversions since he left because max protect is pretty useless in those situations. The line, the line, the damn line is what keeps this team from being a solid NFC contender, jay saved this team from sucking like a 3-5 win by the skin of their teeth team.

Most of us suspected it was over when Cutler went down. Then Forte was done, and today the confirmation came.

It's over.

I'm ready to forget this season and fast forward to draft day. Too bad we've got games left.

Unbelievable. Also I want to murder this color analyst who's saying the Broncos wouldn't have gotten the ball back. THEY GOT THE [expletive] BALL BACK WITH OVER A MINUTE REMAINING YOU MORON

the announcers were basically openly rooting for the broncos all game. it was disgusting.

So.. I was going to go to church tonight but then I realized that I have no idea which church I should go to in order to worship Tebow. I know He's Catholic, but Jesus in His first incarnation was Jewish, so I don't know if I should just keep attending Catholic church or pray silently to myself while I wait for a Church of Tebow to open up in Chicago.

Thoughts?

He's Baptist.

This season is over and as far as I'm concerned, next season will be too.

Angelo's last few drafts have been garbage and I'm not too optimistic about him signing an IMPACT free agent WR. We need to get alot better on offense and get young on defense.

I don't know why you'd write off next year.

In terms of young talent, we're already ranked third in the NFC North. What about Angelo gives you confidence that he'll be able to turn this team into championship contenders? He hasn't drafted anybody worth a damn since 2006.

I'm frustrated about today too but saying next season is over already is rather ridiculous. Our team was looking damn near unstoppable until Cutler went down. The O-Line will be more experienced, hopefully get another playmaker in here on offense. The defense will be fine.

As I continue on my quest for a silver lining, let me just say that Cutler would probably not have been close to 100% at anytime during the playoffs (Forte either), which would likely include us having to win three road games to make the Super Bowl. While playoff football is always nice, it just was not meant to be this year. At this point I think we should just shut down Cutler for the year and let the bone heal fully without risking future injury. There is little to gain and much to lose by bringing him back this year.

Looking forward to the Lions getting dismantled by someone in the playoffs. They're not winning a road playoff game.

dude come on. i'm not even a bears fan and i know he drafted matt forte since 2006. if the bears had gone 5 years without drafting a decent player they'd be by far the worst team in the nfl. you can say that his drafts have been disappointing without making hyperbolic and moronic statements.

No, he can't.

Who knew that the two former Cowboys would end up being the two most hated players on this team? You can add Sam Hurd to the list if you hate him for being an ineffective WR.
