And with that, Bobby Petrino is fired. Presser coming up in an hour.

seems like an overreaction. wasn't having sex with that horsefaced chick punishment enough?

Really does seem like an overreaction. I was thinking he'd get some sort of in-house punishment, maybe suspend him for the first couple of games or something. Didn't think they'd go so far as to fire him.

I'm not so sure it was an overreaction. The fact that his alleged mistress got a 100k do-nothing job on the football team just reeks of impropriety.

it's 100k now? It was 55k...not that that changes the story in any technical sense, but, yeah.

take 1 guess

Obviously because it's the closest coast to Asia, but I'm talking the northwest compared to anywhere else, including the rest of the west coast. It may just be my own anecdotal experience, but it seemed like there was an especially high concentration there, where i would have assumed there'd be a larger demographic in California, for example.

That's not what i was saying, at all, but nevermind. It's not like it's remotely important.

You clearly haven't seen much of the LA or San Francisco metro area. I grew up in a suburb of LA where 60% of the population is Asian.

Aaron Lynch leaving Notre Dame, reportedly because of his high school girlfriend. [expletive] everything.

You're a college football player at a prominent school, and you're concerned with your high school girlfriend who you'll undoubtedly be done with in 2 years because she's a high school girlfriend.

If he's actually leaving because of her then it's probably not a "high school girlfriend" situation, but rather a oh crap she's pregnant situation.

Shaq Evans left ND 2 years ago for the same reason. Maybe you guys don't understand just how slim the pickins are in south bend.

Lost 2 five star freshman in 2 months and just missed signing a 5 star WR in Feb. Good spring we're having.

Just deserts for swiping Carlisle from us

I'm very excited he got a waiver. I think Kelly should abandon the spread and just run a Woody Hayes offense with the disparity in talent between our QBs and RBs.

I'm more worried about the WR position than the QB one, myself (not that I'm not also worried about the QBs)

The WRs are irrelevant when the QB throws it to the other team or drops the snap, as appears to be Golson's MO this spring.

I'm just hoping to cut down on the number of fumbles returned 95-yards for TDs.

Snood - another 4-star player graduating ND and joining Weis in Kansas in May. Anthony MacDonald was a good recruit but injured early and got passed by Teo (not really his fault). Crist's HS teammate. Solid MLB for KU though light on experience.

Well, Michael Floyd managed to make even Rees look good for quick stretches last year. I worry there's nobody there to bail whoever it is (probably Rees if you believe the local pundits) out this year like that. But your point is well taken.

I'd rather have talent than experience. I like what Weis is doing so far. I know most big-time programs see these players (and Weis) as failed retreads, but compared to the guys we were running out there last year, they'll be much better. I think they'll accelerate the revival of the program.

Arkansas contacted Pete Carroll about their head coaching vacancy. That really does a wonderful job of summing up the Arkansas program.

Seriously if they aren't looking to hire a douchebag they are going for notorious cheaters. You would think after their last two coaches that they would start to look towards a different route. I know John Daly has been pimping Jon Gruden. I actually think he would be a great college coach/recruiter.
