About 3+ months of my favorite college program going into the [expletive]

it's not so much about joe paterno than it is manbearcub repeatedly mocking people who die.

really?

hmmmmmmm let's see...

Wow, good thing he wasn't D-I or this would really suck.

anyone else find it amusing that this is manbearcub's first post in about a month, and his last post was a joke in the chris henry thread? i think that has become his sole mission on this board, to post something dickish when someone dies.

was he any good? i'm considering putting some money on West Virginia next week.(uconn player stabbed to death

seriously?

you must not be familiar with manbearcub, he makes an a-hole post in pretty much every death thread.

Wow two celebrities of pancreatic cancer in two days. I met him and interviewed him a couple years ago when he attended the IU vs. Ball State football game. Seemed like a pretty good guy.

it might be a blessing in diguise because i heard that in his final days he was dribbling all over himself

(a) this isn't even funny

(b) why, when someone dies, is there a race to see who can make an offensive comment? congrats manbearcub, you beat everyone to the douchebag finish line!

so yes, considering that i've posted three times in the past about manbearcub's callous comments following someone's death, i'd say that my problem was with him and not with him saying something about joe paterno's death.

and my question is why the [expletive] do you care?

no, your question was "really?" because you were insinuating that my explanation was not serious, and you were wrong. i accept your apology.

So sad about Joe Paterno. I know he's a horrible person for what he did, but it's really sad to see him go from a legend at Penn State to disgraced, to fired, to probably dead in a span of 3 months. I almost wonder if he wanted to die or lost the will to live and stopped cancer treatments leading to his sharp decline in health. A little fishy just because originally it was said to be a treatable form of lung cancer.

I am almost certain that if JoePa was still the coach at Penn State and the Sandusky thing didn't occur, he would not be on death's doorstep as we speak. Similar to Bear Bryant without the disgracing.

when you're 86 i don't think you can brush off any cancer as treatable

No. My question was really...why do you [expletive] care if mbc mocks paterno or anyone else.

you don't understand why people would mind that someone repeatedly mocks recently deceased individuals? that's pretty [expletive] dense.

by the way, the poster in question has consistently been warned to knock it off and was banned over this issue, so apparently some (most?) of the moderators had a problem with it too.

by the way, just a bang-up job by the media on reporting paterno's death. a psu blog/news site (onward state) reported that paterno had died. cbssports.com, a national website that really should know better, went on this report and ran their own report that paterno had died (without saying where they got the information from.) a few other news sources did the same, mostly citing the cbssports.com report.

then after the paterno camp reported that he was not dead, cbssports.com attributed the false report to onward state and reported that he was not dead. so they basically stole (false) reporting from a local source and then blamed the local source when the info turned out to be bogus. wonder if they have a job open for cubbie bum.

Fake Bo Pelini @FauxPelini 5h

CBS Sports is reporting that Joe Paterno has won the South Carolina primary.

Not Tom Ricketts @NotTomRicketts

How is my little brother doing in his first day working at CBS Sports?

#cbssportsisreporting and #cbssportssays are trending on twitter. ah, twitter justice - harsh, swift, but fair.

I get why it would bother you that mbc made fun of someone you hold in such high regard. clearly based on your posts on this topic, you think very highly of joepa, despite what's come out about him in the last several months. fine, whatever. What I don't get is why you care if he mocks recently deceased people, generally.

even assuming what you've poste about his moderation history is actually true, how does that change anything? you get this worked up about every warning that's issued? this isn't kindergarten - there's no reason to whine that someone else was being mean to other people.

i objected when he made fun of chris henry's death, and i didn't give a crap about chris henry. most human beings find it offensive to ridicule a recently deceased person, and it's embarrassing that you either don't understand this or, more likely, are too stubborn to admit that you know this to be the case.

Most human being find the word [expletive] to be offensive. yet people, like you, use it repeatedly on a message board. how embarrassing for you.
