As for Illinois not often destroying any opponent, the current 53 point lead would be the largest margin of victory for the Illini football team since 1944, when they beat Illinois State 79-0.

The announcers were saying Illinois has a shot to win their division with the schedule they have this year. I don't know about that, but wow, they may have the easiest schedule they'll ever have this year, with in-division road games against Indiana, Purdue and Penn State (Wisconsin and Ohio State are at home), and they don't have to play Nebraska, MSU or Iowa. The cross-division road game is Minnesota.

If they can beat ASU next week, there's no reason why they can't get 8 wins this year. I don't know about winning the division, but the schedule certainly favors Illinois.

Yup beat ASU next week and they could be in for a pretty good year. 4 road games all year is pretty crazy, and getting Ohio St, Mich, and Wiscy all at home is huge. Can't wait for the ASU game next week. Their QB looked pretty damn good last night vs Mizzou.

Hat tip to the B1G refs for that ridiculous holding call against Toledo that gave Ohio State a 2nd first and goal and led to a Buckeye TD. 27-22 OSU early 4th.

Wasn't watching (yes, I'm watching the 56-3 game, so sue me), was it blatant or borderline?

It was basically press coverage from what little video the BTN deigned to show. Absolutely nothing that would've warranted a hold unless there was something I missed.

Yeah, that was pretty awful. Toledo has 16 penalties for over 100 yards. OSU has 3 for 13 yards.

This Ohio State offense is pretty awful. I don't think Bauserman starts on any other Big 10 teams. He's terrible.

I remember how much [expletive] Michigan got for losing in the Big House to Toledo in 08, so I really hope somehow Toledo can come back here and win.

Why are they going for it on 4th and 14 from midfield?

Isn't there more than enough time to punt with 1:49 left and 2 TOs? Seems slightly more likely than making a 4th and 14 when they have been having trouble going dowfield all game

Edit: Nevermind!

Some strange ass decisions on the last couple of plays.

No need to go for the end zone on 1st and 2nd down. Then a run play on 3rd and 10

I can't see Ohio State go better than 8-4 this year unless their defense plans on carrying them.

They are pretty weak. That offense is terrible. It will be interesting to see how they do next week against Miami. Should be a good game.

Auburn just got some serious hometown cooking that led to a touchdown. This is NOT a first down, folks. Typical SEC officiating.

But aren't they playing an SEC team?

yes, but it's Auburn. Bama and Auburn, especially Bama, are known for "mystery flags" and the like. Have been for like 40 years.

That's really close. IIRC, the first down isn't the stick but where the last chain ends. It looks like the football is really close to there but I can't see it well enough to see if it made it or not. It definitely should have been reviewed though because the spot wasn't even for sure correct.
