Seven starters out for Franklin's first road game against Burfict and Arizona State. Wonderful.

Really just hoping we can keep it respectable against your boys, OMC. I don't think Ole Miss is going to overlook us after the whole Jacksonville State thing last year, though.

Ouch. Suspensions, I assume?

Injuries. Half of them were out last week, but our starting RB, DE, and MLB are all out for Friday now too.

You're more likely to win than you probably think

I predict that the ND/Michigan winner will be ranked entirely too high.

Every year this is said. Can't remember the last time it was actually true.

2 years ago Michigan was ranked in the top 20 after beating ND. After a 3-9 season the year before, they did not deserve to be anywhere near the top 20. It was straight downhill after that ranking. This coming from a Michigan fan.

I don't think either team will be ranked too high depending the winner this season. I think both teams deserve to be somewhere near the top 25.

Cincy's going to be a much tougher test than Montana was last week, but I think we've got a really good chance to win. I actually kind of hope it's a closer game than last week's so that this young team doesn't go into the Florida game cocky. I'm really not that sure what to expect out of Cincy this year, though. They were pretty bad last year, but then demolished Austin-Peay last week ... but it's Austin-Peay.

On a side note, I can't express how much I'd like to see Penn State knock off Bama.

2 years ago Michigan slaughtered their week 1 patsy then beat an ND team that people (including myself) didn't realize sucked yet. A top 20 ranking was probably fair after 2 weeks if you go by resume ranking, which I like to do. But it's an academic issue.

[expletive] Baylor and [expletive] Ken Starr. Those assholes have gone back on their word and are now threatening to sue the SEC and Mike Slive personally. Therefore, there will be no press conference today. I heard that the vote was 12-0 to admit us, but the Baylor situation has halted the actual invite. Their only chance to be in a BCS conference next season is if they let us go and let Texas replace us ASAP. The longer this drags out the more they ensure that OU will jump ship. When they do, the conference is toast. Then Baylor will be lucky to get into the Sun Belt.

Thus the reason for the lawsuit I guess so Baylor gets something. Not sure what has changed over the past week. Last I had heard Texas had convinced Baylor to let A&M leave without any problems. Guessing the news about OU and maybe Texas looking at the Pac 10+2 convinced them to try to get something out of this.

What are they going to get out of this?

They are hoping money I guess. Trying to leverage this into A&M's exit fee.

But I hope Baylor doesn't [expletive] this up. The Big 12 is dead, just finish it off.
