well, I didn't get to watch the Auburn-Mississippi State game as I was 100 miles offshore catching big yellowfin tuna. However, from what I've read, the offensive line looked better. The defensive line (the defense in generally, actually) still has a lot of problems. However, I'm now more hopeful about Auburn making a bowl game this year and competing against most teams in the SEC. They are still going to have a tough time playing with Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Arkansas this season I think.

I was pleasantly surprised to see they got the W yesterday.

Really excited about the way Tennessee played yesterday. Cincinnati apparently has a terrible secondary, but Tyler Bray, Da'Rick Rogers and Justin Hunter were utterly unstoppable all day. Bray was something like 41-49 on the day and accounted for 5 total touchdowns. The defense was pretty shaky and the running game almost non-existant until about the third quarter, but it appears this team will be able to move the ball through the air.

The Florida game next week is going to be really interesting. I think Tennessee can win, but as young as they are they need to get off to a good start. Early struggles in the Swamp could lead to the team unraveling a bit.

I was busy and missed the game, but Denard Robinson's stats make absolutely no sense. 11-24 for 338 yards and 4 touchdowns? Huh? What kind of stats are those? How does anybody average 30 yards and over 1/3 touchdown per completion?

I don't think I've ever seen a QB with a line like that before. Just insane.

KU beats Northern Illinois on a (basically) last second TD.

NIU's defense nearly gave up 600 yards of offense. lol.

neither team could stop anyone. For a KU fan, the game was still encouraging. I love our RBs and OLine, and Webb has been excellent so far this season.

Damn, Michigan 26th in both polls. Not that I don't think its fair that Michigan isn't ranked, but I have some strange obsession with Michigan being ranked at least 1 week every year. It's the only tie we still have to the 'glory days'

Well, you don't play anyone with a pulse until Northwestern on Oct. 8, so I think you'll get in there at some point. (Seriously, does UM EVER open B1G play with anybody good?)

Hey, we still suck. I'll take as many cupcakes as possible this year to get to a decent bowl game and keep the recruiting momentum going.
