Is it too early to panic about Soto? I think I'll freak out first and get perspective/info later.

It's apparently his groin, but he was able to finish the top of the first after tweeking it so hopefully it shouldn't keep him out for more than a handful of games.

How was the cards runner out at home? Left arly or out at plate? Am at bar and turned head. No sound

It was ruled that Punto left early, but he did not. Umpire blew the call.

ump ruled he left early, although the replay showed that the cubs caught a break

The Cubs have 1 player in their lineup tonight, including Soto and Hill with a SLG% over .419, and only 2 above .390. Sadly this is close to our regular lineup.

Oh and that player with the 2nd highest SLG in the lineup? Darwin Barney of course.

See how fun it is to hit at Wrigley Albert?

Imagine this 81 times a year

See how much fun it is to hit a leadoff double and not score, Albert ???

welington castillo was PH for in the third inning of a one-run game in iowa this evening, so either he's also hurt or the (chicago) cubs are expecting that he'll be needed.

Sadly, Quade has killed any hope I have that he'd start Castillo over Hill. I hope I'm wrong.

Come on, Koyie. That was an easy catch and out.

I'm not sure. It's not like he's shown any love for Hill-he's only started 3 out of the first 34 games. I doubt Castillo would start over Hill, but I doubt Hill gets every single start either. Probably a 70/30 split or something like that.
