I'm not making the case that he's the GOAT at all. I'm just arguing that scoring 28-8-7 on a [expletive] team in the NBA finals was not terrible.

 

But by your standards, Rose was a gutless golem in the ECF this year, yes?

 

yes, but what does he have to do with it?

 

lebron didn't average 28-8-7 in those finals, btw, and he was so wildly inefficient that they probably would have been better served to let someone else take shots.

Kudos to John Barry for last night's post-game commentary on telling it like it is. He said, more or less and quite emotionally, that James is a bad player without the ball. No movement, no positioning, no paint/post presence whatsoever.

 

It really is perplexing to see him stand and watch his teammates try to develop a play, while he's hanging on the side or top of the key for seconds at a time without moving.

 

I really wonder what he would have been like if he had some real coaching, from someone that he would actually respect and listen to, and who had a successful playing career. Neither Mike Brown and nor Spoelstra were players from what I can see. Imagine if he had been coached by someone like Bird or McHale, who had low-post abilities. It's clear to me that Riley isn't having any effect on him, on or off the court.

When you've been told how great you are since you were a junior in High School, there aren't many people that would probably earn his respect for their own playing career. I would also say that after the way he treated Cleveland last year that he isn't very respectful at all.

I saw LeBron before the game and I asked for $1. He gave me $.75. I said "Where's the rest"? He replied "I don't have a 4th quarter".

Why didn't he just give him a dollar bill?

 

Lerbron hasn't carried around a dollar bill since he was 11.

 

Sunday night is going to be fun. I can't imagine how early I will have to get to a bar to get a table. It will probably be best to avoid downtown Dallas.

 

I have an extra ticket to the watching party at American Airlines Center if you want it. My daughter and I will be there.

Let's see what other excuses Maverick Carter aka Stephen A Smith or Chris Broussard come up with for LeBron's finals. So he's been dealing with horrible personal issues. What's next? He decided to adopt some orphan children and one of them needs a heart transplant. Or maybe JayZ can rap some excuses for LeBron.

How funny would it be if LeBron and his posse actually planted the initial rumor with Stephen A Smith and now its blowing up in their faces.

 

What if the Celtics or the Mavericks planted the rumors? It's the best way to stop LeBron.

See, you are implying that LeBron is not playing well because of these rumors. That's exactly why LeBron and Co. would have the incentive to plant them. Any excuse for his recent sad performances.

 

Remember Stephen A Smith broke the big 3 to the Heat weeks before it was official. I doubt that guy doesn't communicate with LeBron and co. And would that guy actually want to piss off LeBron and Maverick Carter by spreading a personal rumor like that.

I've enjoyed this season a lot but hopefully it ends tonight and then returns with a normal 82 game scheduled next year.
