My enjoyment of this is lasting longer than I thought it would.

This is my favorite non-Chicago sports team moment since Peyton Manning tossed the pick-6 to Tracy Porter.

Pretty much.

EDIT: Although the sinking liner to Holliday's balls in last year's playoffs was pretty sweet too.

There's no such thing as going overboard when it comes to enjoying LeBron's failure. Now, if he were the kind of person to sit at the podium after losing a game and say, "I really thought we were the better team, but we lost and we're gonna have to go back and work on it until we get it right, and I wish I hadn't been such a [expletive] before," all that fun would instantly go away, because LeBron would be behaving like a normal human being. It's not fun to keep poking fun at someone once they learn to take the heat. But LeBron possesses a certain social retardation that forbids him from coming to such obvious conclusions about himself. That's why people get so frustrated with James. Because he's constantly acting like an entitled fuckwit and you're constantly saying, "How? How can he not SEE that he's acting like an entitled fuckwit?" And he doesn't! He totally doesn't. It seems virtually impossible that someone could be so oblivious, and yet here we are. And NOTHING has changed about the man. If anything, he's gotten even worse.

I love the fact that it's obviously digging into LeBron that people are taking such enjoyment on the Heats, and more specifically his failures. Based on his comments last night he obviously has this "how dare they hate me? I am King James!" defiance to it. Makes sense that someone who has been revered and treated like royalty since he was 15 has developed this "holier than thou" attitude, intentionally or not. After everyone telling you how great you are for 10 years, you start to believe it.

So its always fun to see someone have to resort to the "I'm a superstar athlete, I'm better than you" as a response to criticism. Really shows deep down how sensitive he is in general, and really gives haters the confirmation that he really is affected by all the hating. Expect the abuse, as well as his responses to the abuse, to only get worse from here on.

More awesomeness of Mark Cuban on him paying for the parade and the rings:

"We'll do it," Cuban said early Monday morning. "All I told them was -- Terdema Ussery, our president -- you plan the parade. I'll pay for it because I don't think it's right for the city to have to pay for it. And let's just have some fun."

Remember all the problems last year in Los Angeles when the Lakers couldn't figure out what to do with the parade? It was going to cost the city millions and there was debate whether or not the team would have it. Cuban, being the completely awesome guy that he is, just said, "I've got it you guys." Say what you will about Cuban, but he's a terrific owner.

Then Cuban talked about the hardware. But he doesn't want to go the traditional route.

"I might not get rings," the Mavs' billionaire owner told NBATV. "Rings are old school. You've seen it before: There's guys who pick up the sweats and towels and they have these big, blingy rings. I'm like, 'Rings are done. It's time to take it to the next level.'"

The Greater Man upstairs know when it's my time. Right now isn't the time.

David Stern?

Winner. Hilarious that the same people who cried about Rose not getting any calls don't care to notice when it happens WAY WORSE to someone they hate.

You've got to be kidding, did Rose ever act like he had a brain aneurysm, fall to the ground, get the call, pop up and show up the officiating simply because someone got near him? I say karma is a bitch.

The end of that post got Metallica's "King Nothing" stuck in my head.

Which led to me finding this on Youtube

And Lebron said something to the affect of "All the people that are loving this will have to go back to their lives and their problems soon and I'll still be living my great life"

Here's the thing Lebron. All the people that were rooting against you...had to go back to their lives when this series was over, whether you won or lost. And your loss only makes going back to work that much better for those folks.

Additionally, other NBA players with lives just as "great" as LeBron are taking great pleasure in his loss. Don't know why he's hurt or surprised at the reaction, he's either dumb or naive to not expect such a reaction after perhaps, the most obnoxoius sports related scene ever last summer.

lebron didn't get calls because he didn't even give the officials the opportunity. it's hard to get to the free throw line when you only have 2 moves in your Finals arsenal:

1) pass the ball immediately

or

2) dribble the ball around the perimeter for 20 seconds and then launch a fadeaway 3
