What's interesting are the reactions of the posters at the House of 'Paign Hoops Fan Forum, on the whole I would classify them as denial. Many of them refused to admit Weber' record the last 7 years is average at best, excuse after excuse is written for Weber. With Chicago as a recruiting ground there's no reason Illini shouldn't be in tournament every year.

Those people are insane. There were signs in '07 that Weber was in over his head. Not seeing it now makes me think they're fans of other big ten teams.

It will take a team like North Carolina or Michigan State, with frontline depth and a veteran presence to beat them. That team is so difficult to run an offense against. If Teague makes jump shots, they are a prohibitive favorite, imo.

Kentucky has only played four top-100 Pomeroy teams since losing to Indiana. Let's not get carried away; the SEC stinks and UK has not played Vanderbilt or at Florida yet. North Carolina played UK straight up and lost by one point -- at Rupp Arena. UK is probably the favorite, but they can certainly be beat. I suspect they will be beat in March (though likely not until they play another upper echelon team).

yes, when you lose by 2 and osu got 1 point off the worst technical call of all time, that is quite frustrating.
