I've actually been okay with all the signings we've made thus far. Barber is a great goal-line back, something Forte struggles with. This has to mean Taylor is gone. Still not thrilled about the Olsen deal only because Kellen Davis isn't a starting TE. Bring someone decent in and I'll feel better about it.

It's obviously time to start addressing offensive line, which is the glaring need and should have been taken care of before the other positions. If Kreutz goes we'll need at least two signings there, or maybe one signing and a trade. Maybe bring in a linebacker too for depth and that should be it. It's definitely been a quantity over quality type of free agency for the Bears, but we're signing a lot of guys who have the talent and are still young enough to turn their careers around (Gholston, Okoye, Roy Williams, etc.).

Calling Barber a great goal line back is a huge stretch. He was terrible all around last year including goal line carries.

Just tell Robert Hughes that every opposing team is 2010 USC and sit back and enjoy the touchdowns.

Angelo press conference at 5:30. Guessing that he'll officially put an end to the Kreutz era.

Spencer telling friends he's heading to the Bears.

So Spencer was drafted when Ruskell was in Seattle right? This makes sense. Will this guy be an upgrade to Kreutz or not?

I think it will be an upgrade.

I don't pretend to understand football well enough to have strong opinions regarding centers. But after years of hearing how great Olin Kreutz was, and seeing how bad the offensive line was, I really wondered what all the hype was about.

Time to see how valuable Kreutz was to the locker room. I'm willing to bet his teammates thought he was an [expletive] but tolerated his "leadership"

ChrisHarrisNFL: All I can say is wow when it comes to Olin Kreutz ............REALLY?!?!??!?!

ChrisHarrisNFL: Olin Kreutz departure won't sit well in the locker room for a few days #realtalk

Kreutz was a good Bear, all in all.

I'm eager to see what Spencer can do, though. I'm glad they went out and jumped on a replacement player who has experience.

Get me one more OL and I'll feel a lot better about things.

I'd rather have Spencer than Kreutz anyway.

Jerry Angelo on Olin Kreutz: "This isn't a wake. We're sad. Nobody died. We wish him the best."

JA: "(Olsen) came at me hard last year (for a trade)."

JA: "He was a professional. He took the high road."

Angelo on Greg Olsen: "We're not looking for Kellen Winslow. We're looking for Mike Ditka." Added team couldn't make that financial commit..

JA: "These offensive linemen are tough to find."

That's why our teams suck right there.

Pro Football Focus says this:

Spencer a reasonable upgrade over Olin's poor run blocking but Olin was still a good pass protector. Spencer...ain't

Sounds like Angelo is done looking for free agent Offensive Lineman. Forget everything I said before, this is an utter failure of a GM. He needs to sign an interior starting quality player to go along with this Spencer guy or the line will be an unmitigated disaster.

LOL. In that case I can't wait to see Spencer vs. Suh twice this year.

I don't think Olin was really all that great at pass protection anymore either. Maybe it was the stronger of his two phases.
