*sigh*

Might as well start it. I'm going to be tunnel vision focused on getting a big WR or two this offseason.

It'd also be nice to get a big OL or 5.

Definitely. But getting someone that can get open in coverage so Cutler doesn't have to hold the ball all day long will help protection too.

1. sign Asomugha. well I wish. A shut down CB makes this aging D-line that much better.

2. draft ol, ol wr, ol, rb, ol ol ol, DL if Tommie isnt brought back

Jammal Brown? Logan Mankins? Harvey Dahl? who will be available? The Bears arent going to rebuild this line in one draft, especially one that is as thin as this one is in the position. I'd like to see them sign a top o-line FA since Asomugha is pretty much not going to happen.

I presume AJ Green and Julio Jones will both be gone. How's the WR class after that?

I don't think Mankins is going anywhere, though that'd be awesome. Lovie is definitely enamored with him.

Not as strong as I'd like with a couple of guys going back to school. But there's still some guys available....there is just more disagreement about them.

After Green and Jones, I'm not sure there's much in the way of immediate impact guys in the draft. Jon Baldwin probably won't fall and I'm not enamored with a lot of the others. If you're looking for a WR to come in and produce immediately, FA is probably the better way to go.

Shouldn't be THAT hard to get Asomugha. He had zero interceptions this year...

If you can get a FA to come in and want to work with Cutler. That's my fear right now, with this whole "Cutler is a quitter" mess, is that it will affect the offensive free agents that are willing to sign with the Bears.

he may even be over-rated, but teams will go after him.

That's entirely possible. Hopefully this silly controversy dies down quickly and doesn't affect the market for the Bears. Because banking on even a really good rookie WR to be significantly productive is not a very good situation.

I think drafting OL is a better option in the early rounds, but Angelo's ability to make the right decision is........in question, to say the least.

It was supposed to be very deep at WR this year, but several very good underclassmen have decided to return to school for whatever reason.

Probably labor weirdness played a role.

Right. Blackmon and a couple others could have come out, but chose to stay. The depth is pretty decent, but the top end WRs are basically just Green and Jones at this point. And maybe Baldwin if he shows well at the combine.

who would that FA WR be, James Jones? Sidney Rice? Vincent Jackson?

Jones drops everything, Rice will get resigned by MN, Jackson is just old. It really would be nice to have a guy like Aroushmado play more this past season to see what he would be like. alas.

I'm actually not convinced Rice will re-sign in Minny. But that might be wishful thinking.
